Since we consider guns the cheat weapon to destroy the powerful martial arts folks, Keisuke Itagaki constantly shows us that in Baki's world, this doesn't matter to the truly strong. But here's the kicker, he almost always comes up with an excuse like "they use rubber bullets" (excluding Yuichiro). He keeps this balance there to get the audience to follow through the plot, however ridiculous it may be. And while it's a bit like "ah, here we go again", I do think it's absolutely necessary to have some anchor to leave some things to the imagination as the reader.

Its just plot armour, as skilled as he is, he's not bullet proof. With so many men with guns, couldn't a single guy jus shoot him from a distance ? Of course that would happen in real life but in Baki they don't take that into consideration. Not to mention how anyone moving in that speed would also be really tired
