I can see this working well with VR. Imagine you hop into a VR game where your arm length and head height were taken into account to create a realistic recreation of your body's looks and movements just based from how far your controllers reach and at what height the headset is at on your face. I hypothesize with this that you'd be entered into a mindset that can easily comprehend the virtual world by noticing realistic physics with yours and other entities movements whether they are human or animal leading to 'less' motion sickness. And with controllers placed onto your joints like the shoulders, elbows and knees this would work as like a "wonder what i would look like as a pro body builder" and give yourself massive biceps and flex with your own proportions.

@christophdunkel57333 жыл бұрын
I like the particle approach, there is probably a lot of potential there. Apart from that you can do a lot of stuff already by getting into human anatomy and understanding how muscle dynamics work. A lot can be achieved by using basic mathematic procedures and measuring the distance between muscle start and end points. It gets interesting though, once you have muscles influencing each other and the need for collision detection comes up. Add the fact on top, that some muscles are influenced by bones and stuff like the carpal tunnel and you got yourself another research paper :). Have fun, the human body is a mechanic miracle.

thats crazy can you imagine if a company like rockstar made a game so realistic eventually that when your character performs some sort of strenuous activity a detail as small as the muscles that are primarily being activated end up getting a "pump" and actually slightly get bigger and fuller because of the virtual blood flow being simulated inside of them. That's the final frontier right there. When a character models muscles can be simulated in such a way that they almost never clip with each other and instead just deform slightly.
