I appreciate all this theory, must be interesting to explain what happens when we lift submassimal weights how golgi and spindle manage that signal to force our cells to grow to push the limit over. and must be interesting explain if ans how tendonds could imrpove their strenght tollerance and why with low weights we could broke muscle tissue or tendons. is fatigue ‘killing’ golgi capability to protect muscles?

Good question. One example is coaching plyometrics with a faster eccentric. Tell your athletes to throw their arms down hard during a vertical jump attempt and they will jump higher via increased muscle spindle activity.

Hello, So i underastand the concept of the stretch reflex , but kinda confused when its appliled . Im doing physio right now, and they say you are suppose to hold a stretch for 30 seconds and also go for a slow stretch to avoid a activation of the stretch reflex , im really confused on why , wouldnt it be better if it was activated as it would avoid a overstretch.

Typically the point of stretching is to increase stretch tolerance and improve range of motion. Overstretching isn’t a concern with slow stretching only with fast movements like a baseball throw where you don’t want to pull a muscle. For improving range of motion you typically get better results going slow and for longer than 30 seconds

Decreased force output from the agonist muscle, which would lead to lifting less weight
