He's saying it like that to emphasize that it's adduction and not abduction; he's differentiating the two since they sound similar. Also makes it easier to remember.

@@farahm1469 it's also technically wrong. A mispronunciation whether intentional or not. If it helped you, great, but that doesn't mean it's correct.
