Molasses is a byproduct of the processing of sugar. Napapansin mo na yung white sugar, completely loose, pero yung brown sugar pwede mong Isiksik like sand. The darker the color of the sugar, the more molasses it contains.

I just don't understand why this type of sugar is more expensive than the conventional brown and white sugar. The mere fact that producing muscovado is more cheap in terms of machinery and takes a little less time compared to more refined ones, should dictate its price and not how ignorant the consumer can be.

No, any forms of sugar is not okay for diabetes, mapa coconut sugar man yan, muscovado or honey. Are they healthier alternatives to white and other processed sugar? Yes, but it will definitely spike your blood sugar due to it's innate high glycemic index and load.

yes in some area like cebu we call muscovado kamay but in bohol they have delicacy known as kalamay which is a sealed in a coco shell with a sticky rice inside and in tacloban they also kamay which is a circular solid sugar.

Depende sa lugar in bohol where I came from, we call Muscovado as Kinugay while Kamay as Brown Sugar.

Noong hindi pa nauso ang brown at white sugar napamamura lang nito. Pero ngayon base sa video na ito, limited lang ang producers pero mataas ang demand kaya dapat lang na tumaas ang presyo.
