I have 3 girls and a boy Muscovy ducks and about every month we get about 12-14 babies and we give them away 2 weeks after hatching and keep 1 sometimes they fly away or get up high but they always come back and my boy (his names flappy) can get close too but no touching for him

At a friends house in Florida there are two wild ducks (muscovy) one has the red wart like stuff on head and other is smaller in size and is blackish brown with some green in tail. Anyway the male duck loves her like never seen anything like this! When she talks to the ducks the male wags his tail! And I mean really wags his tail for minutes it crazy! They are wild and wander up to her back porch twice a day it’s so cool! It’s so funny! The male one literally will use his beak and knock on door! I’m not making that up either lol! Then she bought a new car and when first brought it home that friggin duck sat right next to her car all day the first day she had car. Crazy!

Our male Muscovy comes up and taps on the glass slider! Sometimes he will come in (big poops btw). He also wags his tail.

Great video and beautiful animals. Do you have any tips on how to protect them from rats? My male white muscovy died because of leptospirosis (blood exam made by the veterinarian confirmed the contamination). I was constantly changing the water to keep it fresh and I only fed him during the day, but the pests got in and infected him; the female (and the nest) were relocated to a big cage for safety but still, I'm worried about their health and safety.

I have one muscovy duckling due to certain circumstances. Would it be considered abuse to only have one? Should I sell her or get her a friend? I don't want to get rid of her but I also want to make the right choice.

Hi, I have two mucovys, u may call them a pair. well actually i got them from 2 different places. the 1st one was told to me as male so i found him a female, but the problem is that the one i brought as female is behaving like a male. i am totally confused about the signs of male and female. i have them from about 8 months but not laid a single egg. what is the matter?

if you look to see where she is in the morning, and if she is sitting on the eggs or egg, she is brooding

if you look near the bottom you will find a certain place that has no feathers and you can determine if it is a girl or boy

The Muscovy I have doesn't like mallards. He pecks at them during feeding - time but is very fond of the geese. They form friendships.

My chickens chase the male Muscovy off. However, we kept 3 roosters for a few days for a friend and their was a full on war between one rooster and the duck.
