To be honest I much prefer the tone of the guitar in the intro in this one than the original, but the original will still be my favourite Muse song.

Isn't it the same guitar tho? Where the bass is like really high, before the verse?

+j3sperado 123 no Matt starts playing the verse as the intro

I’ve always loved this one, but for some reason this arrangement brings much more drama and impact than the release. Either way, it’s belter.

Didn't mean to imply that. I know he produced abso and BHAR, and did a wonderful job. I just meant his work on panic station was his only involvement with the band after those two albums. But I can't help but belive that him producing the 2nd law would have made an improvement.

THE GUITAR AT AROUND 45 SECONDS IS SO DAMN SEXY. Still, the original sounds sexy too, but this is at another level.

Actually, Follow Me was co-produced by Nero (as saddening as it is) but luckily it still sounds like Muse

I love the drum sounds here! More sharp and less buried compared to on the album. Still love BHaR. My favorite muse album

I'm sorry, but this is coming from an OG muse fan. This sounds like their badass younger selves. Rich Costey made this sound more raw and less electronic/modern pop'ish

@Giradox The levels of the instruments have nothing to do with the producer, it's on the mixing engineer
@Gergus6 жыл бұрын
The producer also mixes and masters. Especially remixes/edits
@RhythmAddictedState11 жыл бұрын
By the way, T2L and TR were produced entirely by Muse.

I guess if I had to describe the difference between the two songs, I'd say this one is a lot eerier, especially with how much more sad his vocals sound

I heard he produced the vocals on panic station. That's it lol

Let me enlighten you. If you don't know what a producer does, why comment on how "pathetic" of a producer Rich Costey is? You obviously don't know what producing is about, yet you judge the producing of several albums. Also, producing isn't about how loud the sounds are. And you don't need to know lots of things soncerning producing to know that it's not about the loudness of a track. I'm sorry to say that, but your comments make you seem stupid. I hope you are just trolling.
@LSCband5 жыл бұрын
Putting Rich Costey and anything negative in the same sentence is a mistake. Because of this guy, we had arguably the best Muse album, Absolution.
@RhythmAddictedState11 жыл бұрын
Yeah, excluding Follow Me. :)
@Asidders11 жыл бұрын
Listen to the drums in MOtP, they sound like damp cushions. Compare that to the drum beats in Panic Station or Survival. T2L is properly produced, whereas especially Absolution and BHaR are so shitty. MOtP loses a lot of the edgyness it could have had.
@volutedmetal85436 жыл бұрын
Giradox Absolution is my favorite from them, but it sounds so flat. Origin could use a remix, Absolution needs more life in it, and Black Holes needs the blanket of distortion lifted
@Asidders11 жыл бұрын
He can't produce for shit though, can he? T2L was the first properly produced album (you actually being able to hear the drums, etc.).
@Atlas656 жыл бұрын
The mixing engineer is the one that decides the thinks that you are talking about, not the producer. So Rich Costey has nothing to do with what you are complaining about.
@Asidders11 жыл бұрын
As much as I think Absolution is great, I think T2L is much better (subjective lol) and I have a few favourite tracks from TR I consider better as well. Costey isn't good if he can't NOT follow the pathetic loudness war, and make everything dull and bland. I don't know quite what a producer does, because they've never done an album entirely by themselves, all of the tracks off T2L are also produced by someone else. If you know a lot about it, please enlighten me... :)
@LSCband5 жыл бұрын
@@robbjolley7419 whoa.... that is heresy. I know everyone gets an opinion but seriously.... on absolution there might JUST ONE track that you might skip on occasion because every damn song is just so amazing. The Second Law... well, you could arguably skip quite a few tracks on that album. Absolution is like the peak of everest, Black Holes, is slightly starting to sway, and 2nd law well.... you're definitely on the move downhill at that point, but still near the top. The albums that come out now are halfway down the mountain hah

If you knew anything about production which you clearly dont i wouldnt have to even point anything out. BHAR is way too compressed for a start.
@MrMuseboy11 жыл бұрын
Care to explain why your defending this producer who fucked up one of the potentially best albums of all time ?
@Atlas656 жыл бұрын
Did he fuck up Absolution? since BHAR can´t possibly be the best album, since Absolution is way better.
