When KZbin's algorithm dropped this video for my Monday morning coffee 5 minutes ago, I thought to myself: - Alright, let's see how another lame cover band makes a mockery of themselves. This will make my week better. And it certainly did but in a whole different way! And now I'm picking my jaw up from the floor. It was incredible! Thumbs up and a sub from me! Woah!

This video features my old setup - I had a GT-100 with a few patches (2 high gain amps, crunch, clean and a few FX patches) for all songs Last year I moved to GT-1000 and have individual preset for each song. But not that much going on inside the chain - right combination of amp, cab and mic settings, basic EQ and compression and delay/reverb if needed. For some songs I have a Phaser or AutoWah with slow rate before distortion/preamp gain. The only external pedal is Whammy V, I put it in S/R of the GT-1000, so I can have it anywhere in the chain and blend it manually if needed

G and A should be power chords in the pre-chorus riff :P

Sure, you’re right. But since I use non-polyphonic octaver on this riff to make it sound more “synthy” it is better to play it this way. Octaver works bad on power chords, but I like its tone in this case. Also, I believe in Tokyo Zepp 2013 Bellamy played single notes too, but I might be wrong

@@the.bravekid I ran into the same issue :) I alternate between the power chords and the synth. I have been researching all different versions. I'm running a bunch of octaves and a "string" synth on the Helix that does buzzy sawtooth synth sounds.

@@ericajohnson7535 on this performance I used DI high gain amp and Marshall-like amp + Octaver, now I use an Orange-style amp, mid boost, octaver, some post EQ and weird FX combination to emulate Matt’s Kaoss Pad filtered solo
