"THE DARK SIDE"
I have lived with darkness
For all my life, I've been pursued
You'd be afraid
If you could feel my pain
And if you could see the things, I am able to see
Break me out
Break me out
Let me flee
Break me out
Break me out
Set me free
I hail from the dark side
For all my life, I've been besieged
You'd be scared
Living with my despair
And if you could feel the things, I am able to feel
Break me out
Break me out
Let me flee
Break me out
Break me out
Set me free
Break me out
Break me out
Let me flee
Break me out
Break me out
Set me free
Save me from the Dark Side
Break me out
Break me out
Set me free

Have you ever wondered where your soul goes after this life? We are sinners despite any tiny sins we commit like lying, bad thoughts, or cussing. It doesn't even matter how many good deeds we do because one little sin is bad enough already. We cannot make it up to heaven on our own will. Our God, Jesus Christ, decided to come down to Earth as a SINLESS human and sacrificed His life for our sins. Then He resurrected three days later! Therefore if you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Savior, you'll definitely have eternal life. Your existence is proof that God is real. Consider this: A creation like you have a Creator. Only in the Bible does it mention that God is the Creator of mankind. God is the only one who can create your body, your organs, your features, your blood, and fingerprints. That is why nobody has the same finger prints nor DNA as you. YOU ARE UNIQUE THANKS TO OUR GOD, JESUS CHRIST! Have a great day

This is the first recent Muse song that doesn't have a cancerous comment section, and for good reason, this is a good song.
@memorless
@memorless 6 жыл бұрын
I accredit the lack of hateful comments to the subjective viewpoint that this song sounds a lot like older Muse songs. The cancerous comments were spread by fans who were determined that Muse should make similar music to what they used to. Now that that has happened, those aforementioned fans are at peace with the band, resuting in a cancer-free comment-section. Also, it seems like you're hinting that the previous songs released recently are not "good". In that case - fuck you, Thought Contagion is awesome and Something Human is a perfect song to listen to after work driving home.
@HurricaneWind425
@HurricaneWind425 6 жыл бұрын
@@memorless No, I was not saying that. I did like Thought Contagion, and Something Human, and I even liked Dig Down until I realized that it wasn't that good after multiple listens. I was simply saying that competitively, it is much better than their more recent ones, and it obviously came out wrong.
@memorless
@memorless 6 жыл бұрын
@@HurricaneWind425 ahh, no problem :) i didn't mean the "f you" part as strongly as it might have seen either. I agree on Dig Down with you, it's my least favoured amongst the recent songs too. Looking forward to November ;) when the whole album is out
@jamessmith1269
@jamessmith1269 6 жыл бұрын
Something Human was a decent ballad but Dig Down was bland and lacked energy, this though has a real kick to it because of the backing track and is more like classic Muse even if it leans more on the electronic stuff. I do think this has helped to appease the classic fans and get people like me back in who skipped the Drones album.

Now that's a pure Muse track, operatic, passionate, otherworld and instantly memorable. No other band sounds like them except maybe Queen a bit, and that's why they are so good because they are original, and still release records like this that are very Muse but something new simultaneously. The video sees Matt looking very much like the singer in Hot Chip making a remake of Back to the Future😀

It is not the change of style that bothers us, it's the song themselves. I'm totally okay with the band evolving, and giving a 80s touch is kinda cool, but the songs released so far feel really generic. Especially compared to their previous work, like the epicness of Megalomania or Butterflies and Hurricanes, that are clearly on a whole different level.

You said it. For a band of this character it is part of changing. Sound styles are added or discarded. For me this is a necessary progress. Which band that holds something in itself has not experienced this metamorphosis? What about Queen? They have also evolved constantly. You don't know much then. It's frightening. All of the classics of retro new wave are better by far. Its throbbing poverty, the blistering rhythm until the music itself is exhausted, the false promise of the title are all perfectly objective arguments to forget this music, and maybe the album entirely ... I appreciated the entire work of muse, without being a "fan", but I still remain lucid to recognize that they were wrong, unlike drones that I consider as an opus unbalanced but with some masterpieces (reapers, the handler).

Jks Yeah I would expect to like Thought Contagion but meh. I think Dig Down is solid and holds up even though it's not what I'd usually expect from them. I wish Thought Contagion and Something Human were scrapped. They just fall flat to me on repeated listens. This is a great song. I just hate when a band releases singles starting a year and a half from the album release, it's like I've heard half the album so far and I'm not impressed. Will be skipping at least 3 songs. At least Drones exists, shoulda been better but it was a solid, cohesive album.

Muse: It's like "Easily" with a touch of the slow bit from "Starlight". Vocally reminiscent of "Space Dementia" in places... Me: YES PLEASE! Happiest I've been at a new muse song since Knights of Cydonia (I've liked things since, but this is just beautifully Muse)

Love Easily and Starlight, and enjoy Space Dementia. I don't think we should be comparing this to other songs though, as I think it combines bits from all their albums. Had some 2nd Law, Drones, BH, Showbiz, Resistance, OoS and others.

It's this fusion of old, great Muse songs but at the same time I'm getting Aerodynamic by Daft Punk. I Want to Break Free by Queen and even Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz and in a good way as well as staying modern and relevant. This is the best Muse track in a long, long time.
