Here's the thing, Matt's been writing some really hard, complex and dark songs for the last 18 years, he went through some hard times in the last years but now he clearly is happy as hell, he's in a stable relationship and all, is only natural he wants to go back to his 20's and do what he never did, so after all those great albums he gave to us the past he totally deserves to make this turn. I think each album represents a stage of his life and Im glad he's finally happy.

What annoys me about this is that here in the UK, Radio 1 refuse to play Muse because they don't meet the target demographic. When I was in the target demographic, R1 played everything so that youngsters could experience a diverse range of music. Muse now is not the Muse of old and I love them for that and feel that radio is failing youngsters by not letting them hear all sorts out music. Muse deserve to be listened to across generations.

"Our hometown heroes and local battle of the bands winners: Rocket baby dolls" I love that part 'cause you can see how borred people look and that was maybe the way people reacted at them at first when they were rocket baby dolls. But after they start playing they get caught by the awesome tune. Actually no one can't doubt about the fact that Matt, Dom and Chris (don't forget Tom) are hometown heroes. Taked out of the nothing and now they are one of the greatest shows in the world and an amazing band through all these years. They just followed their dream although the lack of support they had in their begginin and absolutely worth it. Now we can enjoy the amazing music of this incredible band called Muse.

The new album doesn't really hit me but I love their new attitude. Everything is connected here and everything is possible, just like in a Simulation Theory. Also, they're not taking things as seriously as before, instead every video is like an homage on something out of the 80s/90s, with a lot of trash an over the top scifi-stuff while having a clever message in every song and video as well, linking up all this craziness. I think we can all agree that those guys are genius when it comes to reinventing themselves. Even after so many years in showbiz they come up with new stuff.

Have you been paying attention? All of these music videos are connected to each other. The first few seconds of this video shows Matt putting on a VR headset, the very same one he was taking off at the beginning of Something Human. The monsters in this video are very similar to the ones in Thought Contagion and the monster matt turned into in Something Human. These monsters were also being hunted by the government at the end of this video and by Dom and Chris in Something Human. At the beginning of Dig Down, there was a small tv screen advertising a virtual paradise, saying the “human body is now obsolete” and there were people running by with VR headsets on. That’s why there are some things that look kind of glitichy in all of these recent videos, especially Dark Side. This is all just a Simulation Theory

Well, it's funny you people seem to think it's a competition of some sort. The way I see it Stranger Things is objectively the thing that made 80's nostalgia trendy as fuck again, and that could potentially be ONE of the reasons Muse got inspired to make something like Simulation Theory. But in no way, shape or form people think Stranger Things CREATED the 80's, that is moronic. Stranger Things and other shows and movies with 80's nostalgia actually are a love letter to the 80's, not trying to claim it as their own. That's why it's called 80's NOSTALGIA, cause it brings something back.

This song is clearly talking about how some fans are always complaining about Muse's evolution, even the video clip can give you some clues,i thought of this theory : - in the beginning, the bored people (students) might be the fans that are tired of hearing electronic sounds such as in something human and thought contagion as soon as they hear a "heavy" guitar riff, they stand up and starts dancing, but once they push it too far,it can be dangerous, like here let's assume the little monsters is the old muse and it is killing every thing, the "every thing" might be a metaphore to say "motivation",because as long as Muse does the same thing over and over, they grow tired and less happier and less motivated,so they want to try something new,and here we can see that the students are trying to get rid of the monsters but then Terry comes with a big gun which can be the "something new" Muse are looking for. That's all, honestly,i'm pretty okay with that,Muse are allowed to try every style they want to,even if they sound bad, failure is part of everyone's job, here is not the case, the song is very good same thing for Dig Down,The Dark Side,Something Human,Thought Contagion, people can't understand that we have to step up,there's no such thing as sell out.
