Lincoln was buried in a coffin. Caskets and coffins are different because of the shape. JFK was buried in a casket. Caskets are favored over coffins because they are less creepy.

Jess Basta to embalm means to preserve a body after death and is not limited to filling a body full of fluid as people are familiar with in today’s time. Embalming and mummifying were indeed two separate processes; however, embalming is a step in the process of mummifying a body used by the ancient Egyptians as early as 400 B.C., which pre-dates the Civil War

Yet many reported the Lincoln ghost is still in the whitehouse, that would be really freaky. As many tragically murdered who their ghost still frequent Earth are reported to not know they actually died. Thinking they are still around for a cause which sounds right on Lincoln being that he was devoted to end the civil war and it was a few days after his murder when the war declared to be over. I do believe the north was defeating the Confederates in the war yes but after I do not believe most of the Confederates fought to the true end that their aims was for, most John Wilkes Booth was the second hated man on both sides after Lincoln's murder and most Confederates hated booth joining the union on tips to track booth. But with the downfall of the Confederate leadership in the final days and Lincolns death immediantly following stopped the war in my view and Lincoln won this dark time in our history though he paid with his life, he had great support more than people know from the Confederates also. Rest in peace president Lincoln and thank you for being the best president the country has ever had✝️🛐🙏

Call the home and ask for Myra Mains. It's a grave situation. The grave diggers have a lot of work----they're buried. The director has boxed a lot of people although he's not injured because the people are already laid out. The director has to re-hearse before his speech. The people never complain and take it lying down. Digging the grave could be a monumental task. The director has to urn people's respect.

Something not mentioned in the video is that this museum is actually connected to Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. It is a school offering both an Associates Degree in Funeral Directing and Embalming as well as a certification program for funeral directing. It is a great place with instructors who are passionate about this field of work and who are highly experienced. They also offer an online program for people all over the country. Many people visit the museum without even knowing that the school is there.

My wife and I visited the museum and the inside was a little different than the time this video was made. They had an exhibit added about George Bush and his funeral, and there's an encased model of the funeral train which I thought was pretty cool (that would certainly be a prized collectible item for a model train aficionado). One room had a bunch of funeral pamphlets displayed which came from the funerals of many famous people. One exhibit which really caught my eye was a hand carved wooden hearse which is over 100 years old, and it's beautiful. I didn't really feel anything morbid about visiting this museum, and it was quite an interesting experience. I bought a fridge magnet with a saying "Any day above ground is a good day", and that's a great reminder to appreciate your life as you go through times good and bad.

7:43 - this probably explains why the Ghana casket dancers are a thing there. *_astronomia plays in the background_*

No in Ghana, Casket dancing is more of a celebration of life. They dance in celebration of the deceased's life. People just happen to make a meme out of it.

My grandparents actually live in an old casket factory! It was owned by my grandfather's family. Now it's no longer in working order and is where my grandparents live but it's still filled with old equipment and caskets that were made back in the day. It's a really interesting place to visit. It's the Thurston bros casket company from Union, ME. if anyone wants to look it up

I remember standing in front of the eternal flame at JFK's gravesite in Arlington Cemetary in 1983. It was a nice surprise to see it here! when I was at JFK's grave back in 1983. I got a chill that someone walked acrossed my grave while I was still alive. It is a chill I don't recommend getting.

@@crosspointholsters1636 A neighbor on the 11E Hwy in Telford Tennessee was in her front bedroom looking out the window and saw a Man in a pickup truck get out and aimed a rifle toward my Mother. My Mother was hanging laundry up outside the trailer when as she bent down the shot from the rifle went above her head. She ran into the trailer to check on my older brother who was two months old at the time. The news on the TV broke about JFK being shot in Dallas Texas.
