Hello Chase, I just wanted to say thanks for all the videos. ALL of them! You literally taught me how to play World of Warships. And no, I'm not blaming you, I'm thanking you, remember? I'm not a great player, but I'm getting better and your channel has been informative, entertaining, and a very positive influence on my gaming experience over the last 3 or 4 months. So, if I can be a little selfish, I have to say that I hope you'll continue offering WOWs content, but at the same time I'm looking forward to seeing what else is out there for you. I wish you all the very best and wish i could do more to show my appreciation beyond subscribing and dropping a little note. Do you like brownies? :)

Hey, iChase! Awesome video! Another awesome side note on that F-106 the "Cornfield Bomber": When the Pilot ejected, his wingman saw the plane level off and said "you'd better get back in it!" Hilarious! I also remember reading that the pilot, Capt. Gary Faust, was sent to Korea for a tour flying F-106s, and his squadron had this airframe, BuNo. 58-0787. When his CO found out about this, he made sure that it was assigned to Faust so that if something untoward happened again and he had to eject, there was a reasonable chance for the plane to make it back to base and land itself. LOL! =P

Always loved going to Dayton as a kid to see the air force museum, it's been great watching it grow over the years. It seems forever ago it was only two hangers. Having gone there so many times and learned so much of the history probably explains my obsession with WW2. Love seeing anyone giving the museum due justice to encourage more people to go.

Nice! One of my favorite places in the world. As an old airman it was nice seeing you focus on two of the aircraft types I was an avionics maintenance technician on, the B-52 and the F-4. One of our F-4 airframes had Col. Olds' paint schemes as it was one in which he flew. Much like the one on display.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. The C-141 outside is the one I have the closest connection to. It was the last flying C-141 and it was assigned to my Wing which is located at Wright-Patterson AFB which hosts the Air Force Museum. That C-141 is also know as the Hanoi Taxi as one of the first to return our POWs from Vietnam.

Hey Chase! I was just at the Museum earlier this summer with my GF. I walked my feet off at this place! So many interesting aircraft, so many interesting stories! Unfortunately, we were on a time crunch, and I hot-footed through all four hangers in three hours! I took lots of pictures of planes and plaques for me to read later. My favorite area was seeing all the personalized flight jackets. Favorite plane? The trapeeze fighter, for US Army zepplins. It was so cute! Keep the high spirits!

Bocks car - iChase, you are not alone, I also had a strange feeling when I was near this plane around 5 years ago when I visited from the UK. I've never been to Wright/Patterson, but I have been to the Pima County Air & Space Museum in Tuscon Arizona and they have the largest collection of aircraft, I believe, anywhere! If you like warplanes I would recommend a visit. While not all of the aircraft are in "display" condition it is still most impressive to see all of these aircraft in one place! The indoor part is not very big but they have acres & acres of planes in various states of "preservation" or decommissioning. The only caveat is to be sure you visit it in the winter! I hope to see more videos from you as I really enjoy them, whatever they are about!

Of all the bombers at the US museum (and in the US bomber fleet) the one that actually can carry the biggest payload is NOT the B-52. Its the B-1B Lancer (125K lbs) and it can out carry a B-52 (70K lbs) with about a 180% of its payload. A B-36 can actually carry 86K lbs with restrictions on total weight (fuel + bombs). The XB-70 Valkyrie is the most cool plane there. She's a flying goddess.
@ThorsonWiles7 жыл бұрын
Visited the WPAFB Museum many, many times as a kid (2 hangars + the annex) , and visited some years back when they had 3 hangars + the annex. (The Annex was where the experimental and Presidential aircraft were stored/displayed.) Loved the place! The Memphis Belle is being put on display on either May 17th, 2018. I will be there for most, if not all of that week. I may visit the 8th Air Force Museum in Georgia on the way up from Florida, though. (The 324th Bomb Squadron was a part of the 8th)
