This is super ironic seeing as how he not only encountered one, but absolutely devastated him with verbal abuse over terrible food. During his travels with Ruijerd and Eris he came across a run down restaurant in the Dragon King Mountains that was serving food “Nanahoshi” style, which was supposed to be Japanese style food named after a character we hadn’t been introduced to yet. According to Rudy the [dragon] meat was too tough, the oil it was cooked in wasn’t hot enough, the rice was not properly cleaned and cooked, and he WENT OFF on the restaurant’s chef/owner. After they left that owner decided to give up his business that had been in his family for hundreds of years. That owner also turned out to be the Death God. Hilarious interaction, all things considered.

Rudeus does actually say (internally) he would've been okay with Nanahoshi spilling the beans about the whole other world thing. Plus Sylphy actually says "correct me if I’m wrong, but you come from a different world, right?” Sylphy actually does have some knowledge of why Nanahoshi is researching teleportation because she helped with providing mana for the test magic circles for a while at first. While not stated, it should be obvious she still has her suspicions.

I know that Anna and Ben don't really read these comments, but it's interesting to see their surprise for how good Rudy is with a sword. He trained under whay is likely one of the top 10 sword masters on the planet for *years*. Luke is good, and both of them would likely be judged as intermediate ranked swordsman, but Rudies lack of advancement there is purely due to lack of talent, not skill, which will be explained later, I hope. Overall, Rudy is about as good with a sword as a person theoretically can be, wothout any magical enhancement. That enhancement is required to bridge the gap between intermediate and advanced ranks of Swordsmanship. Honestly, most intermediate swordsman get their with the help of physical enhancment magic. Rudy doesn't have that, his Demon eye helps him compensate to a degree, but he is purely human physically.

Both of them have the same rankings: Intermediate in Sword God and Beginner in Water God. Rudeus would never advance to Advanced, though, since he can't use mana to unlock any style's signature abilities or strengthen his physical attributes (as already seen in episode 2 with Paul's demonstration). Luke doesn't have this disability, so he's just not had the same drive to improve his sword skills (except pork sword). Then there's the difference in experience. Luke's had to fight off assassins for some years, with the more intense periods having Sylphie there as well. Rudeus has five years of adventuring under his belt as an A-ranked adventurer.

Elinalise's nymphomania... It's debatable whether or not it's a cope. On the one hand she claims she'd live a similar lifestyle even without the curse, as she loves sex so much, but on the other, she clearly understands the price that lifestyle has exacted not only on her, but also on her progeny. Add to that her being a hopeless romantic beneath it all. She believes in love and romance to the point of being a matchmaker for other girls in her parties (and Roxy), as well as educating them in dating. But she also recognizes that romance would be denied to her in any real sense, so she has rules of never bedding a taken man, not forming long-term non-transactional relationships, and never committing. Her breakdown would come from a confluence of reasons: 1) she's meeting her progeny and not only expecting her to have suffered from her own reputation, but also hearing how the girl's father, her own son, had his life ruined because of her. She is ashamed of what had happened to Laws back in the elven lands in the Great Forest because of her. 2) Rudeus has been avoiding her for almost a month at that point, so at the back of her mind she thinks Rudeus has had enough of her antics and that they'd poorly reflect on those related to her. She is afraid the cycle is going to repeat. 3) Sylphie is a reminder that Laws is dead. No parent should ever outlive their children. 4) She finally has found romance, so that's formed a contradiction to her worldview and could introduce a fear of something going wrong to balance out her happiness.

I'm still not to the discussion so you might bring it up in the video still, but with the pendant being just an "elf thing" or not, sort of explains itself a bit in that very scene where he first meets Elinalise. She was well aware of Rudy being Paul's son before she got there, but she was all over him... right up until she noticed the pendant. That's when she started saying she didn't want to become part of Paul's family. It was just her excuse to back off once she got the idea that the friend he was talking about was likely part of her family.

From the perspective of Elinalise, it being made to look like the same pendant, and them being a friend of Rudy meaning they were likely a grandchild or great grandchild, that would mean one of her children had kept the pendant in their family, and the friend considered the pendant and Rudy special enough to take the time to make their own to give him. Elinalise is a really caring person in the end, and she worries an immense amount for her children because of her own actions, so seeing that pendant probably carried quite the emotions about her children and their opinion of her. That and she also just likely doesn't want to step into a mess with her own family if he really was special to them in a bigger way.

Rudy's development is so good. I see a lot of people hating on this show because they think Rudy is a horrible person, and fans usually defend this by saying "that's the point - he starts out horrible, then learns to better himself". Honestly though, he was never a truly rotten person. He was always capable of empathy, even in the first few episodes (standing up for Sylphie, standing up for Lilia and her baby). His cynical worldview and objectification of women are like a suit of armor worn by a deeply traumatized person who is scared of vulnerability and intimacy because of his horrible self-esteem. Whether you find him at all relatable or not, you have to respect that they made him a fully realized character with real flaws and struggles, and not a bland self-insert Gary Stu power fantasy. Without doing that, I don't think they could have made the show's themes of overcoming trauma and becoming a better person hit so hard. I usually am not very drawn to isekai anime, but I am totally enamored with this show.
