Correction: Mycena haematopus is actually Mycena sanguinolenta which still "bleeds" but it is different because it grows by itself in the soil near conifers.

Ran across many types of mushrooms while metal detecting. Did my reseach and found that I have a few orchards of Chanterelles and a few other edible shrooms around my oak forest areas. I take many pictures of them while walking the place also. This is the time of year when I get most of mine, hot, damp and humid. I cut them close to the ground and place them in an onion sack so that the spores can drop through it easily. Have to keep an 👁 out for an occasional Timber Rattler though 😳. Enjoy yourself and be careful out there 🙋♂️.

So many different species just in one place - it’s a freakin’ mushroom mecca. It’s Cap Town, South Hatrica. This is by far one of the most unique, coolest channels. The yoga and hula hooping is as unique as the rest of the vid. People will say, “oh she’s hot” but you offer the coolness and the ability to be different from the norm - and down-to-earth. It really is fascinating - and much congratulations for being a contributor for your part of the research project. Always awesome.🤘

@@teresamycelia Sautee them in olive oil with onions, peppers, zucchini, garlic, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin.....add some liquid when it is all caramelized, serve with some cheese on a warm tortilla, with pico.....it helps if the tomatoes are juicy to keep all the good stuff from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

While debating if I should post a comment about the unbalanced sound levels myself--I didn't want to come across as the grumpy "Get off my lawn and turn that damn music down kids!" old fart--I was actually scrolling down through the comments to see if anyone else had mentioned that! 😂 Frankly, I would prefer the content, which I quite enjoy, especially the macro-photographs, without the disruption of music, blaring or otherwise. 🔊📢
@willong10005 ай бұрын
@@teresamycelia Seconding the prior commentator, I would prefer your content*, which I quite enjoy, especially the macro-photographs, without the disruption of music, blaring or otherwise. But balancing the sound levels a little closer works too. * I enjoy just hearing the sounds of nature, and intelligent narration if appropriate, when watching nature and outdoors adventure videos. It can be challenging to escape the sounds of "civilization" in the modern world. Even video recordings made deep within the wilderness areas remaining in North America are subject to airplane noise! Yesterday, I watched a video by "Mushroom Wonderland" that Aaron posted recently depicting a hunt for natural (not fire associated) morels on the eastern slope of the Cascade Range. Hearing frogs in the background as he moved to lower elevation was a plus; the airplane flying overhead, a distraction.
