Our Rating System:
We are both firm believers that it is unjust to review and rate an album after only hearing it one or two times therefore our method for reviews is much different than everyone else on KZbin.
Our review process starts off with a "listening session" where we hear the entire album from beginning to end, uninterrupted. We then post a video with our initial thoughts and opinions of the album. Over the course of a week we will each listen to the album as many times as we can, analyzing and critiquing it. Then at the end of the week we will post our full and final review of the album which will include our ratings.
Our scoring method is unique to this channel as well. We each rate the album out of 10 but anything 8 and above simply just gets our Toe Tag. In order for an album to make it onto the list above it must receive Two Toe Tags. It if only gets one or none then it does not make our coveted list.
Any album that receives Two Toe Tags is considered a top quality album of elite status and highly recommended by both of us. Be sure to Subscribe and turn on Notifications so you will always be in the loop with all the awesome metal we review!

The beginning of requiem is in latin and actually means “Lamb of god takes away the sins of the world Lord jesus give them rest” I love it! It goes with the theme of the song lyrically very old school did the same at the beginning of bwomp when Vanessa talks in russian.

Its really good album. A lot of atmospheric songs, almost ambient like, maybe not heavy, but metal don't need to be heavy to be good. Definitely positively suprised by this, was afraid that new crew will not step up, but thankfully I was wrong.

So let me start off by saying I was never a Mushroomhead fan before I just didn’t like the old preachy style. But I absolutely loved this album one of my top albums of the year easily.I love the fact that you guys mentioned how Seen It All grew on you because the same thing happened to me didn’t like it that much when I 1st heard then after a couple more times I couldn’t get it out of my head to the point where my wife starting getting it stuck In her head! Also agree that the choir stuff was annoying. But last but not least the best track for me is Another Ghost it gets overlooked by everybody because of where it’s placed on the album and it’s slower start but damn it deserves 2 toe tags for just that song lol thanks guys!

The more I listened to this album the more I liked it. I really miss JN but Steve did an amazing job, his voice is so versatile, at times he even sounds a mix of Jeff and Mike Patton. I felt as if some tracks were just filler or a bit uninspired, but I can pull 8-9 great songs off this record that I thoroughly enjoy, which isn't the case for a lot of newer rock/metal albums. They still have their unique sound and I'm excited for what they do next.

Great review guys. I for one have never been huge on mushroomhead. That being said, XIII has always been one of my favourite albums. I have to agree that this is their best work since. Solid 7/10 for me.

Loved the review and I have to say, I personally loved the album. Mushroomhead has always been hit or miss with me, especially since they have a tendency to repeat the same verses over and over again in their songs, but I feel this is their best songwriting maybe ever. “Where the End Begins” is easily my favorite track on the album. You can feel the emotion that was put into it.

I love the album, the more i listen to it the more i like it. I seen it all wasnt my favorite song until it grew on me. My favorite songs are pulse, carry on, seen it all, another ghost, and the flood. I would rate this album at least an 8/10.

Yea in my music library I deleted the last choir track, so for me the album does end without it and it flows so much better.

Been looking to comment about this album for a while , but couldn't, cause they're turned off on most audio tracks via KZbin. It sucks to not read everyone's opinion for each individual track. But look, I don't care who you are and what you say, this whole mashup of mushroomhead is EXACTLY what mushroomhead is. New times comes for new ideas, and I think they rocked the melody to A "T"! I stumbled upon this album the first day it came out, which is very rare of me to catch. My verdict on this album, 9/10 . Sorry to hear anyone disagree, and the confutias (spelling) instrumental track was friggin badass to add to the new experiment going on. As far as the other albums , my rating goes... Superbuick: 7/10 M3: 9/10 XIII: 9.5/10 TR&TB: 9/10 BSfUC: 8/10 Thanks for reading 🤘✌️👍

It's a solid 8/10 if they took out 2 or 3 filler tracks like to the front and confutatist. But aside from that it's a good album.

Great review guys. Same here. Hated at first, but then found myself singing the songs when I wasn't thinking about it. Too bad you guys can't review bonus material. "Sound of Destruction" and "Another Ghost" are pretty damn good. Another Ghost might be my favorite overall track. "To the Front" is just bad ass too, keyboard and effects that builds like something from Doom or Resident Evil.

I surprising liked it. After hearing the garbage singles I was really concerned. Take out the first 4 songs and the last song and you got a pretty good album. Some really solid songs there in the mid to end of cd. Really catchy and unique. I just can’t get over those singles. Such boring songs!

I really like the first half of the album. But beginning with the 11th hour they lost me. But I still don't know if it is a pure 50/50 album or if I have to rate it higher because I really really like 3-4 songs. Overall I kind of feel, that the guitar is probably the weakest part of this album. There was really no real riff there.

Mushroomhead plays a seven string tuned to Bb standard. The songs have different tempos and are written in different keys. The only thing thats similar is the music scale to produce the carnie sound.
