Shay, you're pretty amazing; however, I think if you're going to have your students show, you should educate yourself in showing as much as you have in other areas. Comments like "I hate chains" and "(color)halter class is 100% based on color" show a lack of understanding. I was rather shocked . You're created a strong follwi6that look to you for guidance. Parts of this vlog were an epic fail.😮

I can't imagine how stressed out you were when you couldn't go home with Jiminy. I absolutely love how you approach horse shows and the positive encouragement you give your students and horses. You really do teach them it is the enjoyment and improving oneself that matters, not the ribbon. You are an amazing lady and the students and horses are so fortunate to have you in their lives! Seeing Mushu so calm is because you have been a calm confident leader for him.

Shae, Your closing remarks were gold. Congratulations on horsemanship and then focus on inner personal and interpersonal skills. Complimented their teamwork and 'no snarkiness' is just wonderful music to my ears. No mean horsey girls at your barn! Kindness, cooperation, helping and supporting each other are more important than ribbons and competition. You are a wonderful teacher and these are things that make your program a safe and happy place for young women to learn and grow. Wonderful. CH

My sister is 17 years older than me and the reason I became a horse girl. She gave me responsibilities and helped me groom and tack up until she saw what I could do by myself and then she expected me to complete everything very very well. I remember feeling so proud of myself for doing a good job. I couldn't lift the saddle up and it was the only thing I couldn't do by myself and I figured out that if I took my horse into the shed where the saddles were stored (she hung them from the rafters with ropes) that I could maneuver my horse underneath and lower it with the rope onto his back. It wasn't a chore. It was an achievement, an accomplishment. Video games and screen time doesn't teach you how much you are capable of. The self-sufficient skills these youngsters are learning from you will set an attitude and confidence that will transfer to other areas of their lives. ❤

Bagheera does NOT look 30 - she was beautiful! What a little trooper Zazu is. Seems like he will do anything that's asked of him. I knew Beauty would do well because, well, she's amazing! I also love watching you with the students. They are too young to truly appreciate the gift they have in what you do and how you do it...but they will...!

😊❤ Hi Shae and Kyle and students!! 😅 I'm so proud of all of you and I don't even know the students!! I was especially impressed that when Jiminey had to leave everyone adjusted so beautifully!! Shae you were so amazing at staying focused with the students and horses at the show. I know that Jiminey is your special baby boy; I don't think I could have held it together the way you did!! Kyle thank you so much for also being so adaptable and taking care of Jiminey!! That helped Shae and the students so much!! I'm also so impressed with the way the students worked together, and very hard, before and after the show!! I know it must have been difficult for the student/s that were going to show Jiminey. But you would never know it! And as an added bonus you guys racked up an impressive amount of ribbons!! 😮😅 As Shae says, it's not placing in a class that is most important. It's how well you and the horses do in different places. 😊 And of course I can't end this without saying how awesome Mushu was!! He is such a willing, sweet and curious boy!! He was amazing!! 😅 Way to go FSE TEAM, all humans and horses!! 😃 I'm so happy that I found your channel!! It makes me feel proud too to be even a distant part of your program!! Luv to all!! 😊❤❤

So glad Jiminy is feeling better, that's such a scare. Really awesome day at the show, Mushu handled it like a pro! I admire how you coach your students as well as train your horses. Competition can get ugly very quickly but when done in a manner of true sportsmanship and teamwork it can really build character. Tje girls supporting each other is such an important lesson especially in the teen years when a lot of media and culture teach them to tear each other down. Seeing them work together and in good spirits, as you said with good attitudes was just as great to see as the horses and the ribbons. You're an amazing teacher, Shae!

Seeing Jimminee so sad with hanging his head - I was so worried! So glad he is ok…. Mushu did absolutely amazing! He is such a cool horse for his age. And to see Beauty also at such young age so calm and relaxed. And then Bagheera sprinting with her 30 years - it makes my heart sing to see her so well! It’s a great experience for the young riders. And I wish 30 years ago in Germany there would have been in hand classes. I only did very few shows - and it was ridden trail. It’s great your students can have so many experiences and the horses as well! If I would have a child and would be in your area - I definitely would want you to teach them!

This is why I love your channel so much, the fact that you make the horse's well-being a priority. Thank God Jimney is okay! I said a prayer that it was nothing serious. Not to say dehydration can't be, you know what I mean. And I love that Mushy did so well I love him he has such a big personality.

When I was little I had a ballet teacher who was very good kind. That was sixty years ago. These young students will remember their teacher and these lessons for the rest of their lives.

i say this a lot to my friends and just in my head but i truly do wish so many more horse people were like you. im sure you get this type of comment a lot but the way you take care of your horses, having the empathy, patience, work ethic, and the love and understanding of each horse and their personalities and differences is just so admirable. i have not had the true opportunity to grow up around horses but i've slowly been able to find a barn. i will be honest your videos have raised my expectations for barns and horse people and it can be a little disappointing knowing how others treat their horses and other animals in general. i know i shouldn't expect absolute perfection from every barn but it's hard knowing the lives these horses can live! shae and kyle, yall are amazing! keep up the amazing work, i hope to be able to be like you as i grow older or find a barn where i am that has the love and care they have for their horses like you do! and just to add, i'm glad there are people like you who are instructors and are creating such an amazing foundation for your students! even if i cant get lessons from you, im happy there are others who have such an amazing teacher! your students will be (and are) such amazing horse people!

I'm so glad Jiminy, okay, such a worry for you having to cope with not being with him. Lovely to see the students having a great time with their chosen mounts. Mushi behaved like a champion. ❤

I am so impressed with how well Mushu handled his first horse show. Well done, Mushu!! I am also impressed with how well all of your students did, and the team work they displayed with getting the horses ready for the show, and sharing horses during the show, and then cleaning up afterwards. Well done to all the students and to Bagheera, Beauty, Zazu, and Mushu!! I am especially glad to hear that Jiminy is okay. I was so worried when I saw him standing there with his head hanging down and not looking well. Shea, I can only imagine how worried you were about your Heart Horse, Jiminy. You carried on with the show with your students and other horses, and trusted Jiminy in the care of Kyle and the vet. I'm so relieved that he is going to be okay.

You are teaching your students an invaluable lesson that far exceeds "just good horsemanship". Teaching them to face what's happeniiing with grace, showing them how to deal with a biig upset (Jimminy), and how to get along as a team. I hope they were as supportive on one another BEHIND the camera as they were in front of it!! Good job, Shea

The Mush Smoosh did so wellfor his first show. He has curious, sweet nature and showed he has come a long way since you got him. Well done to all the others too on their rosettes. I have a soft spot for Mushu and when you sell him to a great home, (we know you only sell to someone you know will love them), I'll really miss him. ❤

I cannot believe how emotionally invested I am in all of your horses. This episode was a roller coaster ride between watching sweet Mushu arrive at the show, taking everything in (when my first “teary moment” occurred), watching them compete and do so, so well and of course the terrifying moment you revealed that Jiminy was not feeling well. There are other channels I watch regularly where I am attached to some of the people, but nothing even close to how I feel about your horses. This is a testament to what a great job you do with your channel. The way you film and present your everyday life and let us get to “know” the horses, makes this my favorite channel by far and I am always anxious to see the next episode. Sending so much love and healing energy to Jiminy and to all of you!

Absolutely fantastic that your students have the opportunity to not only show, but to experience all aspects of showing, including the before and after preparations. I loved how everyone was so involved with washing the horses and setting up the stalls, and then demonstrated the usual teamwork at the show. Nicely done, all!

Fun video, I do love Mushu ,but I was struck most significantly by Begira. She has beautiful conformation and so lively at 30 years of age! She is a stunning horse, and this video really allowed us to see that. Thanks. Congratulations to all the girls.😊
