The reason the dynamics stay loud and active (in my opinion) is because sin’s character is a happy go lucky, strong positive young man who never takes a break, and is always (sometimes to the point of annoying others) trying to keeps everyone’s spirits high and encouraging

I agree. Each theme represents the character in some way, and Sin is, despite being oblivious to anything outside of survival and combat, is a positive and "come on, let's have a good time" guy. That's the feeling and vibe I get from the song.

12:44 is a small nod to the main guitar riff of the theme of ky kiske who is sin's father. cute detail to include it in his son's song

Its actually way more than that. The solo has 2 parts, the left and right ear. The left ear hears Ky's holy orders theme, which corrosponds with Sin's eye since Ky swapped Sin's eye was his to restrict some of his power. Meanwhile his right eye has the riff from Awe of She, Dizzy's iconic theme, corrosponding with his gear eye he still has from his mother.

This is one of the more straightforward GG character themes, but I absolutely LOVE IT. This is actually one of the songs I wake up to as an alarm on my phone. The energy is endless and contagious (I love that literally the only time the music stops, for even a split second, is right after he says "I never stop"). The quote from Holy Orders (Ky's old theme) to close out the guitar solo fits beautifully, and there is absolute poetry in the lyrics. "Above is the sky and below is the ground; my heart is here." I've seen people dismiss that as a dumb and obvious line, but my god, the inner peace conveyed by those simple words is something we should all be so lucky as to obtain in this life.

this is one of my favorite songs in the entire series because it just goes. i love the way it bounces between which of the 2 guitars is on the forefront, to be able to give parts a break and yet always keep moving forward, it also makes it super varied yet still an insanely cohesive song. even the slowest parts of this song are fast. its also just so uplifting. absolutely love it.

Love seeing this one from you, Sins theme is really underrated. He's actually the son of Dizzy, the character whose theme you listened to last time. Hopefully you catch the theme of his dad, Ky, soon too! Sin and Ky also have a special theme in the game for when they fight eachother which is fire too. Ky is the Ken to Sols Ryu in Guilty Gear, they're rivals and the two main protagonists, meanwhile Ky's wife Dizzy is the daughter of the series main antagonist, so that's a complicated mix when it comes to Sin, and when you add on to it that he was actually raised by Sol for most of his life, the character writing gets very juicy. He's only 5 years old but thanks to his mothers genes he matured physically and mentally at essentially 6 times the rate of a human, reaching adulthood by age 3. He's still naive and uneducated due to Sol providing suboptimal parenting but his emotional intelligence is high and really shines through during critical moments. With Sols story mostly wrapped up as of now it's seeming like Sin is gonna take up the mantle of MC, currently he's set to be the main character of Guilty Gears first ever anime coming out this year. The Hourglass is all about his impenetrable optimism for better or worse, he's a positive thinker who would risk his own well being for the sake of helping more people. The main riffs in this song remind me of his older themes, he's been very consistent in vibe for sure, also at the end of the guitar solo you can hear the motif of Dizzy's classic theme in one ear, and Ky's in the other, which is super sick. The piano section is super unique too I love that it's there, don't get a crazy amount of piano in Guilty Gear and the beauty of it really fits the moment in the song that comes right before it.

This song is one of the handful of songs that got me through my thesis. Im really thankful for it, the words really resonated with me, especially these lines: "Above is the sky and bellow is the ground. My heart is here" "Lets make failure my friend" "IT WILL WORK OUT! WORK OUT!"

It’s not as high octane as the Guilty Gear soundtrack, but the title song from the base/original version of Dragon’s Dogma is really good. There’s apparently two versions, an English version called Into Free, and the original version called Samayoeru Aoi Dangan, which are both performed by the same artist.

This is my second favourite song in the soundtrack after Out of the Box, may overtake it soon, it's so good. I really like the piano feature part, the song is so upbeat and positive, and the guitar goes hard as always. The song encourages me to push myself, making me want to break into an all-out sprint when listening. It's my hype track and also the theme of the character I play the most and the best in this game. Sin Kiske is my beloved funny flag boy

fun lore tidbit: sin uses a flag pole as his weapon. this is because sol badguy raised him and when sin asked sol if he could help (in fights), sol just said to "wave a flag around or something". sin took it seriously and thus, flag boy was born.
