Loved the session where Sajjad Ali sahb was being discussed and the deserving respect given to him by Goher was clearly visible as he was speaking of him. It's not easy to make music for about five decades and stay relevant throughout but Sajjad Ali has managed to do that, every musical movement in Pakistan is almost incomplete without his contribution. Would love to see him on this podcast one day.

He must have gone to: National Institute of Technology,Rourkela (Odisha) Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, (Jharkhand) Both are good, old institutions. They all have good sponsporships for their tech festivals, itna ki top bands don't hesitate to travel in hinterlands. It seems Gohar has travelled a lot in India.

Hell, the cafe you're talking about is probably Internet cafe and it was in Melody Market Islamabad and it was my friend's cafe and i used to be there for doing mIRC chat and used to play Addat with full volume on Pantium III while chattin, perhaps we were the first ones who used to listen 'Addaat' in Islamabad - if I recall we've downloaded that 4 or 5MB sized song in half an hour or so as it was dialup connection era back then - Ahh good old days. Btw, Imran Abbas the TV actor was also used to sit at that cafe.

True music listeners would agree that the fame consumed all these epic bands like Jal, Ep, Call and even Noori. Their initial work has always been at the highest level of quality and later it used start declining dramatically due to Nibba Nibbis asking for romantic melodious tunes. And eventually the fame came in all the lead singers and famous members of the bands parted ways to either pursue careers in acting or do some production business. Fawad Khan is the only exception who succeeded even in his acting ventures but the rest failed reasonably and left a bright career in music which would have eventually earned then the crown of the greatest bands in South Asian region.

Goher mumtaz is the real treasure. there are many Atifs in Pakistan. Goher is the real jewel. he iknows how to create best of the best musics for a band. the problem is Goher mumtaz stick with farhan saeed. Farhan saeed has a unique voice but he is not proper fit for a main singer role of a band. his voice is shallow and too soft. Goher mumtaz should have hired a new front singer after Atif quit the band.
