Devans’ journey is proof that determination can break all barriers. Born as a healthy child, his life took an unexpected turn at just 1.5 years old when he fell ill. Soon after, his parents noticed changes-he stopped responding, struggled with communication, and showed signs of autism. At 2.5 years, he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, leaving his family uncertain about his future.
Determined to help their son, his parents moved to Delhi in search of better resources. They explored various therapies, speech training, and alternative communication methods. Devans struggled with speech, but music became his voice. He expressed himself through melodies when words failed him. With years of therapy, support, and perseverance, he gradually became independent in daily activities and social interactions.
Despite challenges, Devans never gave up. His love for music turned into his strength, and he became an Autism Barrier Singer, breaking stereotypes about autism. His story reached thousands, inspiring parents and individuals facing similar struggles. His hard work and passion eventually led him to a TEDx stage, where he shared his story with the world.
From being a child who couldn't communicate to becoming a TEDx speaker, Devans proved that autism is not a limitation-it’s just a different way of experiencing the world. With the right support, patience, and belief, anything is possible.
