It sounds like the mobile phone mic is being overloaded in some passages , also I suspect that the room is actually Over dampened hence the “ Chesty “ nature mentioned in track one .

To me, it sounds like everything is larger than life, it definitely does not have pinpoint imaging. With that being said, the echo, reverb, and delay stands out as a positive. Center image masks the background instruments because it’s so large and in charge. Not a ton of depth and layering.

Nearfield listening will impact the soundstage and imaging both live and when captured on the mic. Plus, most spatial cues can't be captured accurately by a cell phone mic. Studio recordings will also have less depth in nearfield listening without the added reverb and timing cues of the room adding such things to the presentation. If we played omni-mic'd orchestras, the spatial cues on the actual recording would shine through more live.

@@AudiophileJunkie Nearfield listening is my system. The speaker drivers are between 3’ and 5’ away from the listening position. The cell phone used in the recording can capture spacial qualities, I’ll post sound videos on the WhatsApp channel, using an IPhone 15 pro max. You’ll hear more spacial characteristics on my system. Yes you are correct, the 100-500 hz range is not correct on this system. Her voice is chesty and you are correct, it’s not supposed to be that way.

Liked the first track. For me, there second, the wicked game cover was unbearable because of the singer’s vocal stylings.
