aurora has all the excellent points we expect from artists: voice, performance, personality, emotion. but somehow she escalates it to another level, you can see some of it in this specific song, but in each performance she brings a brand new energetic experience! it's so worth it to keep up with her work

@@FaanaMusic Before that, perhaps you could take the time to privately watch this other version (just for yourself), as exemple of a trait she has (that I love, it's part of why I have so much respect for her), to sometimes reinterpret some of her songs. It's as if she's doing covers of them: Aurora - Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) - 5/25/2018 - Paste Studios - New York, NY: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYLckJmYp7SgpJI

❤️❤️❤️ This is a 9 year old performance, an outstanding performance😍 In an interview she said: “Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'OK, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." In another interview, she said: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." Could you please react to Aurora with a song from her album which was released in June “A soul with no King” live at Vevo “Only” Aurora on keyboard and her guitarist Fredrik on a mandolin😍

Very nice reaction and good comments about poetry/art and emotional impact. She is true Artist. It is worth to check more of her as she is pretty versatile artist with a lot of different sounds.

Aurora and Ren have become my favourite artist. I saw Aurora with my daughter this year and it was a concert experience like no other. It felt like hanging out with her, she was so open and honest and lovely.

Came for Aurora… stayed from the melody you just played… subscribed as well! You can’t just hit me with the blues like that and I NOT follow! Love and respect your attentiveness and breakdown. And the way you take on your reaction.

I sometimes call myself lyric deaf, you're right it is my strong bias to mainly focus on music and atmosphere and only after a few listens I usually start noticing the lyrics.

Amazing reaction and analysis and guitar playing. I recommend another acoustic song with just Aurora and a guitar and backup singer from 3.5 years after this one in 2019: "It Happened Quiet" Live at The Current.

Thank you for reacting to Aurora, she is a very complete and versatile artist, I hope you can do more reactions about her because there is a lot of material to do so, I recommend Under the water in the Honda stage, the seed in the haik concert, all is soft inside in kexp, exhale inhale in vevo live and from her new album When the dark dresses lightly in Glastonbury, and there are many other excellent performances but let's say that with these songs you can appreciate some of her evolution❤

Aurora said at the time, this was out, she was inspired to write this after hearing a radio report, about a man who killed his wife, in some type of supposed mercy killing. I don't think it was a literal account of this story, as this is not how Aurora tends to write. She described it as a "tragic love story", and said "How can a man kill someone he loves". She also said she has a "vivid imagination", so that is why it is best, not to take any of it too literally.
@Giulio1708Ай бұрын
Apparently she never said that. But still, I like to think that's the meaning of the song.
@stephenbarlow2493Ай бұрын
@@Giulio1708 - Those were quotation marks, because they were things Aurora actually said.
@Giulio1708Ай бұрын
@@stephenbarlow2493 Yeah, thanks. I'm talking about the radio narrative. If you go to read the original interview where those quotes were allegedly taken, she actually never told about a real event happened that inspired her.
@stephenbarlow2493Ай бұрын
@@Giulio1708 - Actually, Aurora has said many, things about it, but I think the most important thing is she's said it's part of her imagination, and so there are probably lots of inspirations for it. I think it was this year, that she called these songs, her schizophrenic songs. Whilst Aurora is a very positive person, she has also said, very recently, that she also likes to be in contact, with the dark and ugly things in life.

@IcarusDrowning-gz8se2 ай бұрын
Put down the guitar, you ruin the song with it, and watch the video you are supposed to be reacting to and analysing. There are far too many of you on here who just want to show off themselves and don't really care about anything beyond that.
