Her whole Nidarosdomen concert is the most amazing live concert she's ever done, i highly recommed that! Its a bit long tho but it composed of orchestral version of her hit songs and covers which is a great way of Aurora introduction to new fans!

Aurora is the embodiment of music and emotion. An incarnation. There is literally no one like her on earth. Watching her takes you somewhere else.
@RunarNyrud9 ай бұрын
Yes you are correct in my opinion. She has to be 600 years old.... She has said that she was very nervous in the beginning of her career, remember she did not sing for anybody before she did one song at school at age 15-16. She then got a couple of studio hours as a present from a friend and she recorded her song "Puppet" as a christmas gift for her parents. The song from school was on facebook, and her friend uploaded Puppet to the radio station NRK P3, the "Urørt" (untouched) program. Urørt is focusing on new talent. It went viral, not like today, but back then having a couple of thousands listen and also get recommended on radio was huge. In Bergen one employee at Made Management heard it, and watched he video from school, and called the boss Geir Luedy, and he immediately contacted Aurora and her parents and invited to a talk.... But Aurora said no! Then her mother said that her song made her feel a strange feeling between happy and sad, and it would in a way selfish to hide the music from the world if it could be of any use/purpose. So she agreed to see him, and the rest is magic... The point is she said it took at least 100 performances before she liked to be on stage. So it is both coping with the nervousnes and she feels her songs like she does that is way she is like that on stage. No she is also deep at times, but in a more confident manner.

I love Aurora forever. She's amazing in every way. You should check out the Haik documentary and concert. I found it so moving I cried through the whole thing. I will also say that if you're a person who loves music, then you haven't lived until you've checked out Angelina Jordan, another incredible Norwegian singer. Angelina is a prodigy and, in my humble Australian opinion, possibly the greatest singer of all time. For quite a few reasons. She won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 years old. She's just turned 18. She always sings barefoot on stage to remind her of an experience she had when she was 6 when she met a homeless girl, also about 6, who had no shoes, so Angelina gave her hers. She has been famous since she was 7, but her family wanted her to have a normal life, so she's only recently started being promoted. But to all us Angels (her fans), she is The Barefoot Princess, The Girl with 1000 voices, The Queen of Jazz. I suggest starting with her performance of Screaming Jay Hawkins' I Put A Spell On You that she performed at 9. Look for the black and white version. And prepare to have your mind blown.❤

One of my favorite things about Aurora is that she prefers playing smaller venues. She's not an arena artist. In fact, this was the first time she had performed for a crowd so large, and she was terrified. Now she owns the stage, and she's so comfortable, witty, and charming. She likes smaller venues because she wants everyone to feel seen. She wants to feel like she can connect with everyone, see their faces, and hear their voices. She knows how to connect with her audience in a way I've never seen in another artist. Whether it's live or through a screen, she commands attention, and makes you feel her sincerity. It makes what she does so much more impactful.

1) She was 19 at this concert. 2) She performed two other songs at this concert before "Murder Song". The full concert is available on KZbin. 3) Between the first two songs she admitted to being frightened. She said the same in an interview after the performance, also part of the full concert video. (And she said she likes bugs.) 4) At the end of the second song, "Runaway", if you watch her eyes closely, you'll see that she seems to have gone elsewhere then comes back to reality when the applause starts.

The content of this song...NO ONE seems to want to talk about. Many in the world want to choose the moment when they leave this earth when they are faced with certain death and want to stop their suffering; Maybe to keep their dignity, or control? IDK which. Its a conversation that needs to happen and a reality for many to face. Not HERE SPECIFICALLY. JS...Aroura (for me) shines the brightest light on questions to the healing and understanding of human souls BETTER and FAR BEYOND any religious figure head could ever. GREAT choice to react to.

Your reactions are beautiful. And so are you. (But you know that.) Here’s some stuff I read about Aurora. As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been “special.” She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her music and thoughts. She has such a range of styles. One of her most upbeat songs is Cure For Me. As always with her with a serious message. It’s a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries to “cure” homosexuality. She’s bisexual and regardless of what anyone thinks of that they should respect her courage. I’m hetero and I do. Another insight is her performance of Heathens at Rough Trade East, London (live). She dedicates the song to “the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven.” Like me.😊

Aurora is Alice in her Wonderland that she has created during the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She breaks a few rules/lessons that a vocal coach and stage producer would not teach their students/clients. While most are minor a sort of major rule is not totally disconnect from the audience.. She really goes down the rabbit hole and is fully immersed in her world even thinking about what she is singing about which many vocal coaches do not want their students doing when singing.... Why it works so well though is that her body is so connected to the music and what she is thinking about that she literally pulls everyone down into the rabbit hole with her and its amazing..... Fast forward to 2017 Nidarosdomen concert and what a dramatic growth.... Instead of falling down the rabbit hole and pulling people into her Wonderland she totally does a 180 degree flip and instead pulls Aurora's Wonderland out of the hole into the real world for all to see. Her motion is more fluid and she is much more comfortable on stage. Her body movement is still there but it isn't pulling us in but Tossing Aurora's Emotion and thoughts out into the Audience commanding the Audience to listen to her stories and does this in Professional Manner gaining the Audience respect. Aurora is very creative with the music Videos but she is fantastic live and she really wears her emotions on her sleeve. Liya, you've said your new to Aurora and joked about " where were you" 8-10 years ago. If you want to get a jump start on the Current version of Aurora she just released a new video / song available on KZbin called " Some Type of Skin " . She is using a lot more chest for a richer sound that isn't the normal for Aurora and she is belting which really shows the strength of her vocals and she is getting more comfortable with the mature portion of her voice.... it's very beautiful and very powerful.... here is the KZbin link for anyone interested: Aurora ' Some Type of Skin ' kzbin.info/www/bejne/n37JgqKQitehaq8si=9B__FAbXQTOFUWQf enjoy

that about coaches is just industry, they try to produce, manufacture if you will, artists, they try to inject in their students what they see "works". No one should listen to them, what most get out of that is being rigid and the fake postures and movements they made you do takes both the artist and the audience out of the song because everything is fake. Just like Liya said "I like how she elongates some specific words to really highlight them", that is a reflection of hours of coaches telling her how to sing for something to sound as what they want, Aurora does that naturally and it is good for her style, others should simply find their own styles and their own ways to express through their singing wit time, but hey! They need to make you a star! Right now! You don't have time, just take the lessons and they'll teach you how to breath, talk, how to look, how to look at the audience, how to move your body! You don't need to think or feel, just learn how to pretend you're doing it! Coaches nowadays suck! They should stick to the premise "I will teach you how to sing the exact way you do but making sure you sound good and keep your voice healthy!"
@Dragonopolis9 ай бұрын
@@playinggames4u364 It's not an all or nothing world out there.... There isn't "The Man" (In this case the industry) paying or controlling everything and everyone. Most training is through school and community. The Corporate Industry doesn't teach their talent.... They hunt/scout for what they want...looking through a sea of people until they find whatever image is going to make them money. Money is the motive; not the art. Training takes money and time ....something the "Industry" is not willing to give up so easily. The point I was making is that Aurora quickly learned in a short period of time how to take her art and communicate on stage without having to hide within herself. She's now very much more aware of her surroundings when she performs and does this without sacrificing her artistic expression. She's more confident on stage and keeps eye contact more often with the crowd engaging with everyone. It's surprising how many amazing popular singers struggled with stage anxiety also known sometimes as stage fright. It's rare that any person has a natural talent to engage large crowds without learning how to communicate to large crowds. There are right ways and wrong ways with public interaction especially on stage. Nidarosdomen Concert is a favorite of mine because it really does show how much of a leap in experience and work ethic, as well as personal growth, Aurora gained since the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert and she continues to grow and impress people with her style, artistry, and music.

Like you last song, very deep lyric and nice tone and soft beat that serve the song so well. Keep digging Aurora, she ''worth it'' . The only thing that she study/trained is dance, so yes her boddy is a way of expression for her, for the music and song she is self-taught. Just want to point out that she talk on the victime perspective wich is quit different of other, she see thing in a different way and express deep story or maner all wraped in her angelic voice. Many already suggest good choice, live is always better, but her video have also great meaning, Like ''The Seed, Running with Wolf, or more fun Cure for Me. Enjoye 😀

The Islands were largely settled by Norwegians up to the 13th century, but they are generally not considered Norwegians, now.
