I was coming here to comment this exact thing for the same reason, as soon as I heard him voicing those questions. The other takeaway to point out is that Helium isn't just dropping a nice beat to the ears, he's using purposefully difficult (insanely hard TBH) patterns as a flex.

7:53 - it's his unique 'kch' snare, probably his most recognised sound. The control over it is insane. Should note that many beatboxers have two different sounds: 'inward k snare' and 'rimshot' with short release, which is mostly used in technical combos as at this part. But Helium managed to expand this rimshot enough to make it sound like snare. Beatboxers are wild💪

7:10 - sound is called lip oscillation and it's outward. You get it via vibration of your lips at certain point.

As a beatboxer myself this was so fun to watch. For breath control a lot of the sounds are done while breathing in such as the bass sound you head on the side of the mouth. Its called a lip roll as well as some of the snares.

The super fast pattern in the end actually consists out of almost equally outward and inward sounds thats why he can do them like forever. The way you get these super fast patterns is literally finding 3-4 sounds you can tie together well, make them fast so its a "combo" and then place it on the grid between your "leading" sounds, usually kick and snare. I bet you'd enjoy the rabbit hole of all the sounds and tutorials on how to do them haha

Now you must watch King Inertia x Helium - Bass Brotherhood (freestyle) video! Its impressive how Helium is not only drum and bass guy, but also can do crazy inward bass. This video is just so epic and exciting to watch, how these two professionals do very complicated and awesome sounding stuff, and playing around each others while freestyling

The fast pattern at the end is mostly inward and the two low descending notes are outward so he gets to push out unnecessary air

The parts where Helium breathes is when he does the bass notes using the side of his lips (Liproll Bass) It's the last sound he made

Out of all the reactors you are one of those who has so much to add and explain why you like something if you do. Imo reactions like this are more needed where people actually have stuff to add rather than just "react". 14:55 he is incorporating sounds like kick drum(b), f hihat (just say f) and sucker punch which is the only inward breathing sound in these combinations while others are outward. Sucker punch can be learnt by suddenly stopping air with your tongue while say 'hut'

You should definitely react to Syjo vs Slether in the german loopstation battles, german loopers imo are in a league of their own and will slowly start to dominate if they carry on as they are. Also the last performance shows a very unique level of music theory that the artist showed off.

Hey DrumRollTony... Always choice hearing your reactions to beatboxing vids. I am not going to suggest a track to react to but instead listen to yourself @ 1:54 / 1:58 / 2:36 / 4:18 / 7:48 - My man.... You are in my books a legitimate Novice haha.. You are more advanced than you give yourself credit for.. Here hold my beer! a simple altercation to the pitch and tone (sound texture) you can find if you did your high hat sound at 1:54 and try the pattern 3 outwards T's then 1 inward, 2 outward 1 inward and 2 outward 1 inward again... A simple pattern with saying the letter T. It really is up to the person themselves and the techniques that they from. Even full bars.. example doing 8 bars of a beat pattern consisting of kick drum, high hat and snare while breathing out and then 8 bars of the same pattern but breathing inwards. Nice one brother
