@Nox1ousBBX5 ай бұрын
@@fuzzydark1395 doesn’t mean the population likes it more. It seems osis is getting the most reactions, his fame has increased, and he’s first place. Most people are talking about his wildcard. The only reason improver has more views is because a lot of non beatboxers listen to him. They probably have no idea what the video is for
@jonasgold47455 ай бұрын
Well it's actually this years 1st place in the gbb wildcard competition and I think quite safe to say a community favorite. It is insanely technical yet musical, it is complex, rhythmic, flowy and definitely very individual. It is just overall a really crazy track (I'm in love with it)
@jonasgold47455 ай бұрын
Glad I returned to watch a 2nd time because I can't believe I forgot to mention his crazy perfect timing :D
@humanbean3Ай бұрын
i love that you noticed osis' timing. ive discovered beatboxing and he's got the best timing to me when he goes off with his fills. i like the musical stuff mostly because of this. osis is my exception lol
@zamamirokusoyaro36845 ай бұрын
Osis is such a talented beatboxer. It'll be very interesting to see him on stage more in the future outside of his (albeit very good) wildcards. On a sidenote. If Tony is looking for more interesting beatbox content, I do really think that D-low VS Zekka SBX Kickback battle is as good as it gets. For a more technical analysis instead of a bass heavy ear candy side, that battle is one of the most amazing ones out there.
@fuzzydark13955 ай бұрын
Yeah definitely check out their kickback battle, although I'm sure it would be a better experience to watch D-Low's compilation followed by Zekka's, since there are a lot of rebattles with references he'd miss out so much on by not watching the entire competition..

from what you said on the end, I’ll say yes this is a veryy demanding set when it comes to sound scope, most of the combos are unique even for us in the community, his bass itself has a crazy unique texture. It’s his “Vibration bass” often it sounds similar or the same when other people use it, but Osis’s just sounds different, it sounds grittier, dirty in a good way. This is a set extremely hard to replicate, ofc maybe an experienced beatboxer can copy a segment or two, and even if you copy it completely it’ll never be the same. It’s like comparing Mozart making one of pieces to a guy who decided to perform said piece. And this piece is something only Osis could have possibly created

The vocal part in the beginning that you mentioned as being rubato is actually on the metronome the entire time as well. His delivery though does give it a rubato feel.

excellent analysis and without exaggerations, I love you very much Tony. I would recommend that you see Abo Ice's wilcard for fbb 2023 or his wildcard for gbb 2024, it would be very interesting to hear you define him, he is a beatboxer with new sounds that even beatboxers themselves find difficult to understand certain techniques, his textures are incredible and his style very fresh. As always, greetings from Argentina and Latin America values this type of serious analysis.
@eltiomabugoy36745 ай бұрын
By the way, his wildcard for fbb 2023 is very interesting because we can see in detail how he produces those sounds since we see his face up close and he does not have any type of microphone on his face

the fact that you like the "pocket" aspect of osis' wildcard while having "simple complexity" is really interesting haha you might not see this but what do you think of this wildcard in that context, in contrast to say, Helium's wildcards? I cannot agree that this wildcard is underrated since it topped the wildcard competition for the biggest beatbox competition and has more views than the other ones. And honestly I don't like this wildcard, mostly because of sound choices (especially outward K snare and its combos), but have to admit the greatness of it. Lastly, thank you for another analysis. No matter what kind of content you observe, I'm learning so much stuff about music🙏

Hey! I never really comment on your videos, but I found a piece of music that i would love to see your reaction to. It's kind of a deep cut, but it's the "Autumn Mountain Battle Theme" from Paper Mario and the Origami King. It sounds like it wouldn't be that interesting, but it's one of those soundtracks that effectively combines multiple genres of music (i honestly have no idea how they pulled it off, lmao). I also feel like you'd really enjoy the rhythm patterns as they are pretty funky. Anyways, love your reaction videos! I always end up hearing layers of sound that I had originally missed after watching them lol
