@@ebaerco1659 Dishonored is a 2012 action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Set in the fictional, plague-ridden industrial city of Dunwall, Dishonored follows the story of Corvo Attano, bodyguard to the Empress of the Isles. He is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin, seeking revenge on those who conspired against him. @Secession Studios I want to write a scene to this. The song starts out and we see a man being sent with his wrists tied in front of him by two guards down the dark hallway. He wears beige rags and is beaten up with bruises on his cheek and eyes. At the end of the hallway, they forcefully turn him to meet his fate. A giant cathedral like room, filled with people and creatures who follow a demonic religion in a dystopian world where the evil reigns supreme. The chants and drums kick in, he realizes what is about to happen as he is walked down the white line surrounded by black hoods on either side that chant in another language. His family are held back. His screaming wife and daughter. He is walked up the steps and read his sentence. The strings kick in and he is tied to the scaffold. Mirias, our character is guilty of a false murder. The sentence doesn't matter. Framing innocent victims just to torture, kill and eat them is how the religion gains its twisted followers. The build up and the pause and sharp strings, the executioner also wearing a black hood comes up with carries a sharp pointed weapon as the other hooded creatures circle him, ravenous and hungry. The music is loud they strike. He takes each cut, stab and torture like a man. It's like a dark ritualistic and horrific execution of an innocent man betrayed and sent to die. The very end of the music is when he raises his eyes to the sky and the blow is delivered. The piano after is when you zoom out from above his bloody body. The end note and the drum as when his body disappears as the black hoods swarm him, to devour their next meal.

"The shortest road to achieving his desires lay, he thought, through false promises, lying and cheating; for in his vocabulary simplicity and truth were synonyms for idiocy. He entertained love for nobody - if he called a man a friend it might be said he was certainly bent on ensnaring them. He would never laugh at an enemy, but always ridicule his associates. In this same manner, his enemies were safe from him, since it was never easy to take advantage of someone on their guard; but it was his particularly good fortune to discover how easy it was to rob a friend." "Come my friend, we have much to discuss, and not much time to discuss it." He ushered him in to his quarters. "What do you mean sir?" "I fear that I will be betrayed tonight." He turned and started preparing two glasses of wine. "Sir, everybody loves you, you're respected as the greatest strategist in our empire, and you're viewed as one of the most valuable assets to it." "I'm not so naive to think that nobody bears a grudge towards my relationship with the emperor. Now Nathaniel, if you were in my situation what would you do? With death so close, how would you handle it?" He turned back around and gave Nathaniel his cup. Nathaniel started to sweat, and looked daround nervously. "Well, I'd find the culprit and avoid the conflict altogether." Nathaniel stared at his wine as he answered, doing his best to hide the clear worry in his expression. "Your reasoning is completely correct, however, there is one gaping flaw in your plan. You are thinking as if there is only one betrayer." "I don't know what you mean by that." Nathaniel's worry was becoming more difficult to hide as sweat started to pool and drip down his face. "I mean exactly what I said, I will be betrayed by multiple people here tonight." He held his gaze with Nathaniel. "But as I said, everybody loves you." This time Nathaniel shot his head up to meet his gaze. "It's not up for debate anymore, I will be betrayed tonight, he has already set a plan in motion to kill me." At that He brought his cup to his lips and guzzled the entire thing. Nathaniel held his breath. "Who is 'he'?" Nathaniel posed the question waiting the 5 seconds for the poison to set in was agony. But something peculiar happened, 5 seconds passed, then 10, then 30. Before long a minute of silence had dominated the conversation, his eyes still staring intently at Nathaniel. He set down his cup and replied coolly. "The emperor: your master." Before a gasp could escape Nathaniel's he was already right in front of him, and Nathaniel had a knife in his gut. "You see Nathaniel," He was standing over Nathaniel with a smile on his face, "I was asking for advice on an entire empire." Nathaniel gasped, coming out weaker than he had intended. "H-how do you know?" "Like you said, I'm the greatest strategist in the world. It's my job to know." A low chuckle escaped his mouth. "The.. empire..." Nathaniel coraked, barely coming out as a whisper. "Right you are." Nathaniel looked up horrified as his eyes clouded over. A little different from a classic betrayal, and the end/flow could use some work, but I'm proud of it

I'm currently forming a cohearant timeline for a story that is - I shit you not - like 10 years in the making. And this is just the PERFECT music for a very particular point. It's where the protagonist - a doomed king - learns that a fellow monarch he was to be making peace with was assassinated by her youngest heir. This was, for reasons, his only chance for an heir. And what follows is an unprecedented act of rage by the King which causes him to open himself up to speculation, resistance attacks, and emotional instability for the rest of the story. (Yes this is a tragedy. And a grimdark one XD) Honestly thanks so much for being oh so talanted. It's hard to find music which makes my brain ITCH like this

1:12 “Jealousy is my name, for it is the very fuel that feeds my soul. I saw his happiness, and I did covet what was not mine. I saw her beauty, and I did feel captivated by that innocence. I witnessed their love grow and cover me in a shroud that I could not escape.. I listened to their cries when my anger erupted; I laughed at their suffering when their fear came to life; I devoured their lives as they pleaded for liberation. I am the hunger inside your mind, I am that which pushes the black curtain open, I.. am.. Strahd..” ~ Strahd Von Zarovich.

We came so far alongside you. We bled with you. We prayed with you. We fought alongside you. We had our defeats, and we had our victories. But less and less you visited our camps. You spent more time with the nobles and forgot where you had come from. You warmed your bed with a string of noble ladies as a guest in the palace while we froze in the tents beyond the walls. Then one day, you ordered an attack in which you couldn’t bother to attend. Good men died...friends we had grown up with in our village long before we started this rebellion. From atop the palace walls surrounded by men in gilded armor who’d never swung a sword, you gave a beautiful speech in honor of...your...victory. It was a speech worthy of a man wanting to become a King. I approached you and those men held me at bay. You smirked and said nothing as they did so. It was then I knew my friend had died. So in killing you, I am not betraying a friend. I am killing the sort of enemy we both shared. I can think of no better way to honor his memory than to put into the ground the grotesque charade calling itself his name. Those gilded men will soon break down the door and cut me down. They’ll sing your praises and curse my name. But for the dead there is no shame or glory. Only a dark silence. So before we both die there are two things I wanted you to know... You will never be a King... And I have kept the faith.
