Sweet. Jon Theodore is one of the most underrated dudes out there on drums.

He has so much groove and drive, it's crazy. It's all personality.

There's some confusion here about both guys' past. This is Jon Theodore (drums) and Phil Manley on guitar. Both guys were in Golden early in their careers. Phil had already started Trans Am, and stayed active with them for decades. He also formed Life Coach (his one-man side project), and still runs EL Studio in San Francisco. Jon was in The Mars Volta for three albums beginning in 2003, played in a side project with Zach de la Rocha from Rage Against the Machine called One Day As A Lion, joined QOTSA in 2013, and has played with them ever since. Hope this helps. 👍

I thought the same and evolves into something reminiscent of Gust of Mutts and Ghosted Pouts. At least I think so.

I was lucky enough to see what fans and TMV call their best show in 05. Their biggest mistake was letting go of Jon Theodore imo.

Could be wrong, but that might be one of the other original members of Golden on guitar...Philip Manley? ...that would make this an old bandmates reunion jam...

not sure, David Elitch is the drummer from Mars Volta. not sure who the other guy is. this was at a secret art show party in Hollywood, CA off of Melrose Ave.
