Very helpful! Couldnt find a playlist on your channel that had piano videos grouped together, while other instruments had their own playlist.

Good stuff I've been watching the Harris videos. I can hear what your playing but the camera angle makes it hard to see what exact notes you are playing. Perhaps shoot the hands from over top thanks for your videos

If I've got dominant 9 chords can I just throw those under the right hand? I'm not in front of a piano right now otherwise I'd test it myself :P

Why was the first exercise on C major 7 when we are doing dominant 7s? Thanks
@musicmichaelc5 жыл бұрын
Hannah Davis Because dominant seventh chords come from the fifth degree of a major scale. He ran seventh chords (with the root, the third and the seventh of each chord, respectively) up the C-major scale, yielding Cmaj7, Dm7, Em7, Fmaj7, G7 etc. D7 comes from the G-major scale (D being the 5th of G-major, the rest of the chord tones coming from the G-major scale), C7 from F-major and F7 from B-flat major. One could do the first exercise in these other keys as well, that way one would obtain the respective dominant seventh chord tones / voicings.
