L4D1 themes had an element of sadness for sure but Those L4D1 themes give me more of the Vibes of trying to scare the shit out of you and haunt you while the L4D2 themes especially when you get to the Parish give me more the vibe of desolation and Depression and sadness then the L4D1 themes which I get the vibe were more like to sound in a haunting manner to scare the pants off of someone listening to them for the 1st time.

This OST has the theme that has you wondering just how many people are infected, that there are entire cities just brought to a standstill. Infected everywhere with no survivors. Dormant, aimlessly wondering, dying, and the special variations are doing the same thing in cities with no survivors. In a IRL scenario, this is just sadness everywhere. Families turned or killed, bodies scattered everywhere, the remains of evacs or CDC operations, the signs of desperate attempts of survival to no avail.
