This is, in my humble opinion, the best zone out of the entire 1-60 levelling experience. Well... Nostalgia put aside, Horde Stonetalon just bulldozes all other zones... But I've always loved Winterspring... And snowy areas in general. That's why I loved Northrend. :D

Basically all the new cataclysm music is excellent on the technical side, and with all honesty it is almost perfect on the emotional one aswell. This one in particular sends shivers up my back every time i hear it. Thanks for uploading!

@survivortype If it makes you feel any better, Winterspring and a few other zones are actually remaining largely the same. The only really massive change coming to WS is that Darkwhisper Gorge will be made a subzone of Mt. Hyjal and will be inaccessible from WS. Other than that, there will probably just be some new quests.

@Emperor696 i felt the same about dragonblight when i was leveling there for the first time. the snowy plains surrounding wyrmrest tower with all the mammoth herds was a perfect setting for the music

They did a great job with this music... it's better than the original for sure. That melody is both haunting, and relaxing and much in the vein of the original game's soundtrack in that way.

@Pepitobenito The common mistake is people taking their opinions as fact. Do I personally enjoy the classic tunes a wee bit more? Yes, if only because of the very very warm memories attached to them. Am I also impressed not only by these reprises, but that they actually kept the original melodies around? Hell yes I am. But this is only my opinion, and not fact. Winterspring was always the place I went to level off the last few, on every single character I made. Some very good memories attached.

You have to be certifiable to hate the music in Cataclysm, the upgrade in melody and quality is just staggering. This is the first time WoW has ever had consistently great music rather than a few good pieces.

re-arrangement and remix isnt really the same thing, maybe thats why? remix usually implies taking a part, or a whole, melody and playing it over different beat. re-arrangement would imply actually re-arranging the melody, which obviously isnt what happens most of the time... its the exact same melody(a sample a lot of the time even)

@vincentwolf198055 Unfortunately, remixing is one of the ways that good music always goes bad. They couldn't just compose some other music. The original is the best in my opinion. Originals are always the best. If you compare 3:05 with the original you will find out why. What? All of the music must be chilly because of some cataclysm?

@Fulldre This. Stop trying to force your nostalgia upon others. Guess what? Most of us also played Vanilla. Shocking, right? Well, I personally do not let nostalgia blind me to the truth. Vanilla was not perfect, and the music was a shining example of that. What Blizzard has done with the music in Cataclysm is an improvement; there's no other way to describe it. If you are simply THAT much of a diehard Vanilla fan, then I suggest you take Mr Fulldre's advice.
