People these days think being the best mean their personal favorite. From an analytical perspective, JC (by the true definition) is the best. He has the whole package, male model like good looks, decent height, athletic, can dance really well (according to other Nsync members not only the best voice but the best dancer...Lance was the worst, lol), and the best vocals (4 octaves; can match any genre of music he so chooses, tough he sounds the best in Jazz & R&B) to come out of any boyband. A lot of people keep saying he should have been the break through star out of Nsync. Considering he doesn't have the cut throat personality of using people like Justin or to divert controversy on to himself, it says a lot about JC's personal character. It's good he didn't lose who he really is to the machine. Look at Justin now days, all tired and warn out...yet he's suppose to be 5 years younger than JC! The only downside with JC not selling out is that most of the world will never get a chance to know such an amazingly talented male vocalist. If JC was never in Nsync, he definitely could have made it as one of the top finalists on the Voice or Idol. No other male singer from any boy band (except maybe Brian from BSB) would be able to have the stamina to compete well in those singing competition shows.

And he's the only one out of all the boy band singers with a 4 octave range. JC was heavily involved writing and producing their most successful album, No Strings Attached. It was because of his serious commitment that established them as serious artists and showed they were able to evolve their sound and cross over from pop to r&b.
