Music of the Bidayuh People: gongs

Biragung: Performed at the annual harvest festival called Gawai, when families gather. Usually is performed with dancers Many decades ago this was originally performed after a headhunting raid. Heads were brought home and placed in a circle, and a ceremony took place to appease the spirit with food, music and dance.
