Remember the show "In search of"? From the 1970's. That was the first show on plant communication. They did lots of tests. Playing heavy metal music and classical music and showed that the plants reacted to the music played. It preferred one and not the other. One of the tests they did was to "scare" plants to see if they reacted to "fear". They brought fire and the plants were obviously agitated by it. For some reasons dogs also scared the plant. They went even further and showed a plant reacts to even the "thought of harming it". Yes, just thinking of harming the plant would cause to to be agitated and showed up on the electrical meters connected to the plant. I would like to see what this device would reveal about the sound of "fear" that the plants could make through this bamboo device. If fire was brought close to the plant, what sounds would it make? What about just thinking of bringing fire near the plant? That should show a reaction. Now that would really be telling....Anyone?
@wilzworld64 жыл бұрын
A followup experiment would be to do the same thing with rocks since someone said that they used the device on rocks and it emitted signals. If the results are much different that would be interesting. Also, ... I can see two plants of same species sounding similar, wouldn't 2 plants (of different species) sound very different from each other? I would think so...

the human chooses the scale - ionian, lydian etc - which forces the plant-human interface to reflect emotions/meaning that are evoked by the scale chosen by the human, not the plant. there really IS NO shortcut for plant communication other than deepening one's own attunement and sensitivity- which can be done w enough sincerity. another good place to start is getting acquainted w the Findhorn experiment

I find this so fascinating and I have a question. If the Bamboo can make all these sounds, change key, tempo and everything else. I am trying to understand what the Plant is providing. It almost seems to me the machine creates everything - what is the point of interfacing with a plant? Please help me to understand the relationship between Plant and Bamboo Machine? Thank you so much.
@Musicoftheplants4 жыл бұрын
Dear Carol, thank you for your question! The Bamboo device it self without a plant can not play. When you connect it to the plant, the plant that constantly and normally emits electrical signals, with these signals interferes with the device. From that moment the plant can hear that the music playing is connected to her signals. In other words, is really like if you give to the plant an instrument to play. The plant is the musician and she can play the flaute, the piano, the siter in higher or lower notes. The plant express the melody and also to play or not. Sometime the plant can be connected to the device and also choose to not play. I hope to have clarified a bit your doubt! :) I wish you a wonderful day!
@carolp.vaccariello17014 жыл бұрын
@@Musicoftheplants Thank you so much for that explanation. I have the original U1 and a Bamboo first series. I began to question when I heard all of the different sounds, rhythms and ranges that the plant and the machine were producing. Your analogy of the plant being the person who selects an instrument to express itself is what I needed. I am a musician also, I understand that language. Also, I have noticed, like you expressed, the Plant learns to listen to the sounds, understands that the sounds are related to itself. There are certain sounds that they don't enjoy and will hesitate to sing until I adjust the setting for a different sound. Thanks for replying. Very helpful.

You have different options to record the music: Using the smartphone cable available in our shop. You need to connect the black jack on the phone and the green jack with “Bamboo” text on the “Audio out” socket of the device. You can use any recording APP of your phone (Android or i-Phone). Note: in some cases you need to lower the volume of the Bamboo to have a better recording quality. Using the SDHC card available in our shop. You can record with the SDHC card when you are outside in the garden or in the woods and you can listen to your music only by playing it on the device. As the file is a .txt data file, it cannot be read with other devices like PCs or phones. Note: we do not guarantee that other SD cards will work other than what we indicate in our store. If you are a professional musician you can use the MIDI USB KIT available in our shop and connect the Bamboo to a computer (PC or MAC)* * MIDI output channel For both U1 and Bamboo, the MIDI output is on channel 0.

For anyone thinking of buying this: This product is basically an arduino... the music isnt made by the plant at all. The plants can conduct electricity. This product works by if something touches the aligator clip or ‘electrode’ as they call them that can conduct electricity it will play the music. The plants dont have anything to do with this. They dont change the music or have any influence on them. Because water flows in plants the resistants of electric conduction changes. People argue oh but if you put it on a dead plant it doesnt. Yes correct because dead plants dont conduct electricity because they dont have water in them... this product is a scam. 500 dollars for basically a makeymakey knockoff that costs like 20 dollars. Cool concept just not worth 500 dollars and also fake advertisements.

Music of the Plants common sense? The only thing that the plant ‘influences’ is the resistance which is just caused by the water in the plants
@Musicoftheplants4 жыл бұрын
@@Gintch Many researches can show you that is of course not only water in the plants that influence the resistance, but many other factors, as the environment itself where the plant is. Plants have more developed senses than animals as each root apex is able to detect and monitor at least fifteen different types of chemical and physical parameters at the same time. The “transition zone” is the part of the plant where the most oxygen is consumed and where most of the signals arrive. These, like the neurons of the human brain, have the function of exchanging information.

I saw this device on another video, but they made it sound like the plant was actually in control of its own music. That’s not what this is at all. This is just fancy technology. Really disappointing.

The choice of bamboo as a material for the case was the most ecological from our point of view. It is a very durable and well recyclable material. Bamboo plants grow more than one meter every day and therefore they are forced to cut them. For this reason we recycle this natural material, without taking anything away from nature, but using the cycle of life, where nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed.

Carol's question in relation to unfiltered sounds should be made clear. I'm finding it hard to find this information. Please can we have a reply to it? Thanks.
@Musicoftheplants4 жыл бұрын
Dear Ted, we answered to Carol in the other comment she did below this video. Thanks for your question, so we can answer again!

@@Musicoftheplants How are the changes in voltage interpreted as music? Are increases interpreted as high notes and decreases as low ones?
