I see everyone hating on Manpuku in the comments. I personally think Manpuku was a cool character. Unlike the other characters, he was willing to try to save his mom even knowing he could die. He even admitted it was his fault his mother was captured. And he's very loyal. Even after getting his mom back he still wanted to help you, and promised to be there if you ever needed him. Also, he accepted his flaws and tried to overcome them.

Everyone, Kurow was meant to die, it was his fate. Waka created him to seal Akuro inside himself. However, Kurow believed that people should be able to do what they want before they die. Kuni knew this, even though both him and Kurow had never met, as he shed a tear as Kurow fell. Ok, It's official. The Okami series is the ULTIMATE VIDEOGAME. AND THIS IS THE ULTIMATE BOSS THEME.

He did. He sometimes slashed the enemy and that got back on Chibi's back and played his flute. It was in lightning speed. I had to watch really closely to actually recognize it as his attack.

What I love in this song is that next to the flute Sugawara's instrument (don't knows its name) is the most prominent. It's as if sugawara's words are echoing in Kurow's ears. Chibi and the others still believe in him and even though Kurow lost faith, his friends haven't lost their faith in him

Damn this piece is great. Really feels as if you are fighting an equal, and just has an intensity to it, which is amplified by just the dilemma of fighting one of your greatest friends who no longer returns those sentiments. A battle between true equals, and former friends. That is why this song is JUST DAMN AMAZING.

Let's not judge Ammy's parenting skills so harshly. After all she's doing all she can to rebuild the Celestial Plain, and for her to leave the Plain, go to earth, travel back 100 years into the past, enter the dark realm, and help Chibi out...think of how much power that'd take. Also, Ammy's taught her boy well, I think she knew Chibi could handle anything Akuro threw at him and then some. Like mother, like son.

When I watched those scenes, I was thinking it could've been one of two things: Akuro, even though not being present in the scene could've maybe still observed what was going on, so Kurow had to keep himself on his toes about keeping up the act, or, Kurow was having a hardcore inner conflict with himself, and was debating keeping up the act because Chibi might not have be able to slay Akuro in the end, due to the bond they built and letting on that truly hadn't been taken by evil.

The developers of Okamiden when very smart, making a character who has been around for most of the game die instead. I agree with you, and I think Kurow was the best character, and although I didn't like Manpuku that much, he had a nice little story with him, so to me I didn't feel like he was a character just for the purpose of filler. This is an awesome song, and although the ending was really sad, I felt happy that the developers could capture so many emotions in one ending. I LOVE OKAMIDEN.

List of partners from my favorite to least favorite: Kuorw, Kagu, Manpuku, Nanami, Kuni (he's supposed to be the main plot partner, but I find Kurow as a better person for that role. I still like them all alot, though.

Zwataketa (Logan Holt) For me it was Kurow Kagu Kuni Nanami Manpuku for these reasons; Kurow is the great character. His sacrifice and character development to give himself to kill Akuro is amazing. Plus this theme is amazing.... Kagu definitely experiences the most character development. She went from a bratty rich girl hiding her true self to a great person who puts other people first Kuni is a great kid. While he is nothing like his adopted father, THE GREATEST WARRIOR EVER, he's amazing. He realizes that it doesn't matter he's Susano's adopted and not his true son, and he accepts it, gaining confidence and acceptance. Nanami is not really my fave. She has a good placement in the plot, but she doesn't really bond with me. Manpuku is at the bottom. He's just the last one who isn't really memorable. He's a great kid with a great cause, but overall I don't seem to like him

Kurow technically gets his name from the Japanese pronunciation of crow, similar to a legend that Waka is based off of where he was taught and trained by a tengu, a bird-like yokai of the mountains, to fight with a sword.
