Thank you, thank you. My app is similar but different. I first select a song from the library and then save it’s data to a sqlite database. Sort of like building a playlist. The key identifier being the stringUri. Upon Play, I retrieve the stringUri, convert it back to a realUri, and attempt to play it. At this point my code fails. I have tried many, many variations of the code but have not been able to get it to work. Do you have any samples showing how to play a song from a database? If not, a tutorial on this subject would be appreciated.

Your onClick code for the itemView fails if the list of songs is too large. This is because you are passing the entire list which can become more than the intent can handle. Do you have any modifications that would correct this?

I am a complete beginner. As soon as I got to 19:00 I have no songs that populate in my emulator. I am confused as to how your songs just appear. I have tried YouTubing other solutions but those do not work; they tell me to create a RAW file in the RES folder. But I did not see you do that in this tutorial. Any suggestion? I just have some mp3 files sitting on my desktop but do not know what to do with them…

Its not a music streaming. Its music player like you have audio player in your phone which plays songs that are in your phone. Copy songs from desktop to emulator file manager or copy to phone and run the app on phone.

You can provide download option to the user and download it in private storage and then you can load from the private storage.

At point when it's time to add songs to songsList it just skipping, because cursor is empty.
