That's main thing about this theme. You spend month running around Inazuma, listening to it ost, and then, when story comes to conclusion, you hear this mix with all melodies you heard manny times, and already have some memories tied to them, and with new fresh transitions, it's really feels like grand finale of a chapter. It's might be my favorite soundtrack, not because it's unique, but because it make me feel somewhat accomplished with all that was happening in game for last month.

I haven't talked about them much yet, but my favorite tracks from Genshin are the exploration ones in Liyue and one very specific track from Inazuma. The boss and character themes are incredible, but the chill tracks are something special

Just a heads up, the "Signora theme" you talk about at 3:10 is actually more of a Fatui Harbinger theme; the same motif plays when you fight against Childe, so I would expect future Harbingers to incorporate that motif

0:55 fun fact: Yu-Peng Chen has recorded all of Genshin Impact's OST with an orchestra. HOWEVER, mr Chen also always incorporates traditional instruments of each region in the OSTs. Mondstadt is based on Europe so it has a lot of classical instruments like the violin and the Church organs. Liyue is based on China, so it has a lot of Chinese instruments like the guzheng. And finally, Inazuma being based on Japan has instruments like the Biwa, Shamisen, and Koto.

4:22 Unironically my favorite piece in Genshin. The heartbeat meant to remind us we're inside the Shogun doing battle, the alternating shamisen reflecting the dual nature of Raiden and Ei, the repetitive nature of the song also reflecting her ideal of an unchanging eternity. It's not "deep" but it does have layers and, even if other tracks are technically Raiden's theme *this* part carries her entire character. Also it fucking B O P S.

It felt like the transition of "you're not safe" phase to final phase is gaining a foothold to finally be on Raiden's level. We're not cowering anymore, we're now facing the storm. Inazuma's real form. Also please do listen to Rex Incognito and Let's Go Crimson Knight, I feel there's a lot of character in those soundtracks. 😅 Thank you sooo much for these awesome breakdowns, even if I'm not a musician, I learn how to appreciate music more. If you want to do more genshin I would suggest a video of maybe 8 different demo themes (like zhongli and childe etc.). It would cover lots of different styles in one video and the demo themes are quite short.

Im studying music and one thing about genshin that really captured me was the music. Most of its pieces has small bits of other songs yet it always sounds so original. The way they use traditional instruments of the respective regions in the music, but also modernising it is impressing. Its really something that anyone can appreciate

Fun Fact, The Andrius Boss Theme was remixed when they added the Wolf and Fischl to Honkai Impact, its a fun time (Symphony of Boreal Wind (Remix)) Hoyomix makes alot of electronic and Vocal Tracks for Honkai Impact and I think a good amount of it gets overlooked, strangely enough most of Honkai's Vocal tracks are in English too, APHO in particular in Honkai is good with "Oaths" and "Oracle".

Yes, unfortunately the shogun ost is VERY story driver, phase 1 is supposed to be scary (hence the beating heart that is heard throughout the song) while phase 2 is almost a discussion, so with context gives that hype, anyway incredible reaction as always!

Great genshin music breakdown as always. If you were interested in specifically more genshin, I'd recommend a lot of the short trailer themes for characters because each of them are unique and have completely different music atmosphere to cover their personalities and general vibe. Oh and obviously also it's hard to find a character trailer theme that isn't a banger hehe

This is a very minor request but if you want more genshin soundtracks to cover you can cover the tsurumi island's ambient soundtracks. It's not that bombastic or anything. I just think it's a very melancholic and lonely and kind of creepy soundtrack perfect for a place like tsurumi island. Even if you don't review its quite understandable but man I love the tsurumi island's ambience.
