KZ had only 24 hrs to rehearsed this song, the guitarist here, had only 48 hrs to travel to China..

After the show changed the song on her, she had only 24 hours to get her guitar player to China. He had a concert in Manila and only made the flight because the concert was near the airport. Got to China and had to take another flight. Got to the show with no time to to a run through with the stage band. His comment was something like "it was up to KZ to sing the heck out of this song". She was also preparing a song that she had to sing in Chinese at the same time. If you do other songs, please do the Singer 2018 versions as they are better than wish bus versions for KZ. Along with Royals, Real Gone is good too. She also sings with Jessie J and Coco Lee on Bang Bang in the finale, as a guest (Singer 2018) after she was eliminated.

there's sooo much story and happening about how they came up with this arrangement - supposed to be KZ will sing a different song that she prepared for this competition buT!!! the competition officials decided to change it the night before the competition!!! you could just imagine the shock!!! and what's worst she was not feeling well at that particular time but out of that predicament, this arrangement was born, just overnight!! talk about competition politics ha!

You are correct. “Filipino” is the official language of the Philippines. It was “Tagalog” then it became “Filipino” in the 80’s after including the English alphabet letters.

I am really glad you are reacting to our dear KZ in this 2018 competition. All her performances was so good. The one that made me cry was her Chinese medley, though she sang it in straight Mandarin, her emotion and versatility comes across and touches you bigtime. That was episode 6 in this contest. Try to find the video upload where there was added english subtitles. It will add more meaning as you listen to her deep haunting emotion as she delivered the song. The video title when uploaded on YT was captioned with The Hurts You Never Knew, to make it easier for you to find it. My other favorite is her cover of Rolling in the Deep in that show..the song became a true KZ style. ❤❤

Filipino refers to the national language as well as the citizens of the Philippines. Tagalog is only a regional dialect (mostly spoken in the capital region) and a term most people got used to when referring to the Filipino language for the many similarities they share. KZ said on this interview that she did most of the arrangements with Makoy and her team.
