That is partly because each champion has their own color scheme which is matching to their environment in complementary colors. Irelia’s colour is red on a green environment which makes her pop a lot (red and green are complementary on the color wheel), Karma is mostly painted in orange tones and so is her environment but her magic is blue which is another very popular complementary color combination (complementary meaning right across each other on the color wheel), and that is why the fight scenes with Karma also pop a lot, the blue particles frame her. The only time where the colours weren’t complementary was with the horned girl (I forgot her name, pardon) but nonetheless her colours are analogous (meaning close to each other on the color wheel): blue, purple and red which gives her a much more controlled and reserved color palette but can also frame the character by distributing the colors unevenly (70-80% blue/violet hues and 20-30% reds) which is why when the action is important we can distinguish it by the red particles and elements. It’s a nice choice made by riot’s animation team and not usually noticeable unless you are familiar with the color theory but is incredibly effective.
@jalcome42015 жыл бұрын
6:00, these songs are still produced to complement the animation playing. During the 2nd verse, the characters fighting finally break through. So yeah thats that. They probably didnt want to overwhelm the viewer idk.

Майлз Прауер When people said it was a bad song, it was in context and comparison to the others. For worlds prior, we have had stuff like RISE, Warriors, Legends Never Die, and then suddenly this one came out, which was more of a typical song you’d find on the radio than something to get you hyped for the tournament. Tl;dr, not a bad song, just not the right time/not what was expected and anticipated.

While I love the music from LoL, you are right that at that second verse there was a LOT going on aside from the music itself. A bit of context: Those real life people that are there are some of the best in the world, and their decisions on the world's stage (largest international LoL tournament) are widely regarded as why their teams lost their match (hence the Phoenix reference, rising up to fight again) It is also interesting to see what you pick up on as I'm not a producer myself, and I tend to focus on lyrics rather than music, so it's good to see the other side of the coin.

Thanks for listening to me! I think I should explain the underlying theme of the song. The first guy, rookie, was the mid laner for the team Invictus Gaming, also known as ig and won world's (I forgot which year) Rookie was in the community's radar due to his under performance, with the wording behind him the the train roughly translating to "grown cocky after winning worlds" and "retire please" as they believed he was the reason ig was not performing up to standard. The character they used to symbolise him was lisandra, who rookie was widely known for. The second guy, caps, was recently in the spotlight as he changed from Fnatic to the rival team in Europe, G2. With many people wanting to see him fail as they saw it as caps betraying his friends in Fnatic. The character they used was Fiora, as caps was known to play unusual characters mid. However, in worlds 2018, his Fiora failed miserably, ending with a KD of 1 6. However he came back stronger than ever, winning MSI. The third guy, faker, is widely known as the best player in the world (he was the guy in rise with he scroll and book). In the year IG won, ig won the final team fight as IG's adc managed to flash ult faker, shutting down his entire team. He took that loss very personally as they were slowly coming back but because of his misplay, they lost the finals. He even cried after the loss. After the loss, the team changed the roster and a lot of attention was placed on faker. During this time, a lot of the community was saying that he should retire. The character, karma, was the character that he was using during his historic misplay. The dark versions of themselves were symbolic of the haters in the community who wanted to see them fail and them overcoming their struggles.
@owb11295 жыл бұрын
Note: some of the info may be a little off. BTW am I the only one that finds it insane that giants and phoenix are considered as failures in the community for the songs? Then again Jihn and Tahm Kench's themes are amazing

That second verse that you thought was underwhelming, the focus was fully on the cinematic, the entire video is about e-sports players getting over their hurdles and the ways they failed in past seasons. And that verse in the cinematic was the turning point for it all.

As much as I understand from the information that is available through their documentaries, quick looks and stuff into their music side - they make everything themselves.
