When I reacted to Episode 3, I'm pretty sure this played at the end and I didn't pay it much mind and DEFINITELY didn't mention anything about it in the Arcane reaction either. Yeah, end credits song to episode 3. Needless to say that tragic little ending is what the song is about. On one level it's like Vi and Powder having to say goodbye to each other, but at a storytelling level and a firmer lyrical level it's them saying goodbye to their childhoods at this point, what with Vi being dragged off to prison and Powder going all Jinx on us.

I think its also about saying goodbye friends / fatherfigures passing, since that episode was also about loosing vander, milo and clagger. And of course, as you said, also saying goodbye to their former life

You probably recognized the eeriness from some part of the soundtracks on episode 3 near the end. But yeah, this enters right as it ends, and if fits so beautifully. Also the lyrics, when you think about it: "I can see a tear on my fathers face, before it falls out on my enemy. How could I have ever let you down?" and so on But yeah, aside from that, I came here to ask you to please also react to the soundtracks near the end of episode 3 called "Revenge" and "You're a Jinx", even though they're not "major" soundtracks (like Goodbye or Dirty Little Animals). Revenge is my personal favorite. It's just so perfect, it got stuck in my mind so deep I can recall the whole scene and all the emotion just by listening to it, it's so powerful. Ofc it's worth listening to all of it, honestly, like Guns for Hire and Someone Just Volunteered, but just wanted to bring attention to those other two, which are just amazing among those "non-major" soundtracks , and really elevate episode 3 to a whole new level

'Revenge'... it's gorgeous (个_个) At first I couldn't understand, what part of the track was giving me so much chills while I was watching the scene, so I listened it in Spotify... that was the vocal (or an effect like vocal). Yeah, the other parts of the track like dynamic drums, little piano, violin effect are amazing and in some point remind the way of how Hans Zimmer makes his own sound, but if you'll pull off the vocals, it feels like the track is losing like 30% of the emotional structure. For example, if in the James Hornet's 'The Amazing Spider-Man' album's 'Saving New York' track's last couple of minutes (5min 15sec) you'll replace the vocals with something else, it probably won't be as emotional as it is. So now I want to know who produced the track, Riot ('cause 'Riot Games Music' is not the best answer).

I like how this song builds up in the beginning like it's going to have a drop, but her voice sounds very vulnerable and imperfect, which kind hints that instead of an epic drop we're just going to have something sad and pretty tame. Which builds up further then, but it's still the same thing, hammering in that sadness.

During the "goodbye" refrain, the voice doubling is powder's mind fracturing, then deeper in the refrain, the two male vocals that join in are the phantom Mylo and Claggor voices saying goodbye as well.

I watched the first 4 episodes of Arcane with my now ex girlfriend. 2.5 months later, after she ended our relationship, I still can't find the strength to finish the series. At the end of the episode, the camera zooms out slowly and starts to spiral while the edges fade to black, eating the last light of the fire into darkness. That, in combination with the lyrics, is so haunting. Saying goodbye to family, friends, life through death and separation. There aren't enough goodbyes in the world to cover that trauma and despair.

That's what's so amazing about the soundtrack. They didn't grab songs to fit with the show (which is what usually happens). They wrote songs specifically each scene that they put them into. I highly recommend the documentary "Bridging the Rift" if you haven't seen it already.
