Elise is the "spider lady", she is a champion from league of legends, she's my main and her lore is actually pretty cool. Her character is kind of a bit of a play on the idea of the "Black Widow" or Femme Fatale archetype, as she actually can turn into one. She was originally just a normal noblewoman of house Kythera, who attained a higher position w/ her betrothal to a stronger house (house Zavaan) and she seduced her husband and effectively took control of all of the affairs of his house, he grew resentful and poisoned her, but she killed him and found the antidote on his body. Then she was approached by LeBlanc of the black rose, and joined them. In an attempt to gain favor within the Black Rose, she set upon a quest to try and recover an artifact of importance to the group that was on the Shadow Isles. Which is where her group befell a terrible fate, they stumbled upon an ancient evil, the Spider God Vilemaw, and they were promptly destroyed except for Elise who was instead transformed by a venomous bite from Vilemaw. Whom she now serves, she lures unsuspecting people to the Shadow Isles to feed to Vilemaw using her influence and coercive capabilities. Makes sense that maybe you recognize Elise's spider form from the Ruined King game, because Vilemaw is placed on the Shadow Isles, and that's Elise's patron. Ty for the reaction

Just a little tidbit of lore and a few bits of speculation of the cinematic: One cool thing about this cinematic is that each scene demonstrates the 3 pillars of Noxus: Vision, Might and Guile Darius is obviously displaying might by facing off in a duel against Trundle the troll king (presumably for conquest/passage of the land which possibly could tie into LeBlancs goals). Katarina's scene is a demonstration of guile by infiltrating the area to assassinate that target, but it could also show the guile of Elise, who is obviously prepared, to lure Katarina there. Mel is tested by a vision by either the Black Rose or Mordekaiser to show her the magnitude of challenges she'll face upon entering the city. There is a leader for each pillar in Noxus as well. LeBlanc (the masked Black Rose figure in arcane and the woman at the end of the cinematic) is Guile Darius (the guy with the axe) is Might Swain (you see his crow at the end of arcane observing the outcome) is Vision

Kontext: Warrior who fought the Frosttrollking Trundle is Darius one of the Leaders of Noxus, the red haired assassin is Katarina another leader of Noxus together with Swain (we saw his demon raven at the end of arcane) they form the trifarix the leadership of noxus. The Spider is Elise a member of the Black Rose and the other 2 at the end are Leblanc and Vladimir also Members of the Black Rose. (Fun Fact: Katarinas sister Cassiopeia is also a member of the Black Rose) Kata being the last Trifarix member is rumored since its not offical who it is others state its leblanc

I will try to resume, which is hard but i will do my best. So arcane ended with mel taking a boat going somewhere, we now have the confirmation she was going to the shores of NOXUS. (is it linking arcane to the game though??? : Arcane change the lore of some of leagues character, and they are going forward in the lore story. ) Now the Naming welcome to NOXUS SEASON 1 : (here is a background recap : league had 1 season every year since its creation, if am not mistaken. Now they are splitting the whole season into 3 parts: Noxus is part one(splitted into 2 acts 1 and 2) then season 2 will be another part of runeterra ( my wild guess would be Freljord ) since they are already fighting the king of trolls (trundle) and season 3 : may be demacia or ionia... and now the crazy things (riot said the next thing will not be called arcane) what if those seasons/ region become the name of their next series.. would gladly watch NOXUS . So the game itself is changing with its seasons, NOXUS seasons will feature new monsters FROM NOXUS ,DEMONS to be precise , and the boots in game are all noxian style , along with a more reddish theme. etc. Now the diaologue in the cinematic implies something worth mentioning.. the black rose are recruiting STRONG people , only STRONG people, why?? in order to help them defeat one of their old LEADER who is bannished under the big tower that mel is looking at.. MORDE (FREAKING) KEISER. Now who were those characters : we saw MEL, Katarina (the assassin Girl) Elise (the spider-lady) who is in the Black rose too. Darius (axe Bro) : Ambessa told US in arcane that noxus was guided by 3 Principles : Might, Vision,Guile (she wanted to be the 4th one) Principle of Might: Commander of the elite Trifarian Legion. Trundle (the Big blue Troll) His mighty weapon BONESHIVER made up of true ice : (only iceborn people/trolls could use them without being frozen to death but they still experience pain though ) LE BLANC ( the black rose mage Mel fought in Arcane) she is suspected to be the 3rd one of the noxian principle (guile) Vladmir (HE IS NOT A VAMPIRE) he is a hemomancer. Hey Joey, bit of "lore" from some of the scenes and pointing out who people are and some backgrounds - though i bet there are some better people to talk about it than me, a casual lore nerd lmao. Would LOVE to see a reaction to: The Line - Twenty One Pilots (Both the Arcane song and TheGameAwards one) and the recently (4 weeks ago) release song from Imagine Dragons "Take me to the beach" which features Ado... that song might send you down the rabbit hole of Ado's music 2:19 - obviously, Mel, returning to Noxus after leaving Piltover and Zaun. Kinda know whats happening here cause of Arcane, however it seems like shes coming back to claim her family's seat of power while also being a bit with the Black Rose 3:07 - this back is Katerina , come back to her in a bit 3:17 - 3:25 - The human seen holding the Axe is Darius, though I believe this is a younger Darius compared to what we have In Game, mainly down to the character build and facial features being more younger. The Troll is Trundle, the King of the Trolls. This scene is most likely somewhere on the border of Noxus and Freljord as its not quite and iced over area like Freljord is, and its not a pit of Lava like Noxus is. I assume this is something to do with Noxus sending out a scouting mission into the Freljord, which is cannon as the Woad Raider Darius skin is a cannon skin which represents this. 4:52 - here's Katerina again 5:00 - the spider lady is Elise, no idea who the guy is, however it seems like Katerina is tasked to assassinate the guy and Elise is, what i assume is, hired to guard him 5:12 - Back to Darius v Trundle. Note: some Freljordians have the ability to weild True Ice, the likes of Ashe being able to use the True Ice Bow, Trundles club is made out of True Ice. Also the Yeti's that are in Freljord (Nunu & Willamp kinda - if you know the lore behind Nunu there) are the ones to make the stuff out of True Ice with their magic. Anyway like I said, some people have the ability to hold it which, fun fact, Darius does not, hence why he drops the axe cause its too painful to hold 5:18 - 6:10 - side note here: welcome to top lane, where everyone watches the slug fight 7:40 - Big spider is Elise as well, thats just her in her Ult form 8:35 - Leblanc enters that chat. Yeah this is Leblanc (LB), the same smoked out black figure Mel talks to in Arcane. So far, the theory is that the one seen in Arcane is LB's "Going Out" form, as she doesn't get seen when she goes out, however the one we see here is "Within her domain" which very limited people have access to and those that do have access know what she looks like 8:40 - and thats Vladimir, a hemophage and a once Prince of Camavor (Veigo's homeland), now the leader of the Crimson Circle the Secret Order within Noxus with everyone being a Hemophage The last section and Mels entry to Noxus, indicates that the next show is most likely going to be the Noxus based show - note the shows that have been said to come after Arcane are Noxus, Demacia, Ionia and Bilgewater

In order, LeBlanc, Mel, Katarina, Darius, Trundle, Elise, and Vladimir were featured here. Katarina, the (originally) masked woman with long red hair, and Elise, the spider woman, are at the Black Rose's Silken Danse. Darius is fighting a Trundle, a Freljordian creature, possibly meaning that Noxus could attempt to manifest destiny parts of Freljord. Also with Darius' weapon being frozen, he dropped it because it would become literally too cold to touch. You can see parts of his skin turning blue right as the camera pans up after he picks up his axe. The whole thing with Mel was just imagination, but the landmark she was at (Noxtoraa) is the "gateway to Noxus". There's no way she's there to try and finish what her mother started and go for a new, 4th chair of the Trifarix. That thing at the end with LeBlanc and Vladimir, those two are Black Rose members and that was basically a 1 minute epilogue to Arcane. The entire thing is a trailer for the new League season but there's no way the next show for Riot Fortiche puts out isn't about Noxus.

The last two Vladimir and LeBlanc the 2 leaders of the Black Rose. Both over 1000 years old, both incredibly powerful. There is a reason for the Black Rose to exist and it's actually a necessity even if their methods are less than savory. The Black Rose exist to delay the resurrection of the King of the Dead - Mordenkizer and when (not if) he finally walks the mortal plane again, to fight him and stop him from devastating life.

Hello, lore head here. Let me break this down for you. The mountain scene- this shows one of noxus's many conquests. This one is up in the northern continent of "freljord" (basically viking/nordic dudes don't worry for now) the big troll is the Troll King Trundle. Note his Club of True Ice. True Ice is a substance that only the Iceborne can hold without reprecussion (the iceborne are chosen people from the freljord). Trolls are quite honorable in this universe and if there is an agredment (wich is rare) that's how it happens. The noxian general that you saw fight him, is called Darius. He is the defacto military leader of the Nation. So he probably made an agreement to have a one on one fight against Trundle. When Trundle blocks Darius's Axe, the true Ice Spreads onto it. Darius, not beeing an Iceborne, therefore decides to ditch the Axe and try to take him bare handedly. That doesn't work out, and so he bites the bullet and picks up the true ice weapon, suffering alot in the process. The Tros respect their leaders loss, and retreat. This has something to do with noxus's invasion of the Freljord though we don't know all too much on how large this "invasion" really is. The Post credit scene- THIS. This is THE connection to Arcane. Infact, you saw the black haired Woman before. Her Name is Leblanc and she is the nations leader of guile (darius beeing the leader of strength and Swain (whose six eyed Ravens you saw In Arcane) beeing tbe leader of vision) she is the mysterious black Woman that confronts Mel in Season 2 and gets her to awaken her Powers. Well, not her directly, but a clone because that is something she can do. The other man is a Vampire called Vladimir that created hemomancy (blood magic). The two are the founding members of the black rose. They are probably just there to talk about how they want to handle mel's arrival. The masquerade scene- this scene also ties into the black Rose. The assasin girl is Named Katarina. She is probably there to assasin the man sitting at the Side who leaves midway through the fight. The Spider woman protecting her is what ties this to the black rose. That is Elise a Spider from the *shadow isles* (where ruined King partially takes place) that works for the black Rose aswell. The only othef noteworthy thing here is the fact that katarina has a sister wich is also part of the black rose named casseiopia (though she doesn't appear in the cinematic). Mel- now, mel is kinda weird here... This Scene seems to just be a vision of the Future though we don't really know just what she plans. But if she wants to actually fight like in the vision, i have a feeling the "bold move" mentioned by leblanc involves mordekaiser(tldr of Mordekaiser: man that singlehandedly created noxus that died and didnt get a glorious afterlife so he just said fuck this and became the lord of the death realm and is now trying to invade the world of the living to take over noxus again but he's stopped by leblanc who has bound his armor with a spell) Though i heavily doubt that bc morde is just a MASSIVE threat not just for Noxus, but for ALL of Runterra. But otherwise, no clue wtf mel is doin.

Okay so the whole masquarade is held by the Black Rose. The spider lady (Elise) and the 2 people at the end (LeBlanc and Vladimir) are part of the Black Rose. LeBlanc was part of Arcane s2. Notice the same golden "tear marks" under her eyes, same as the shadowy figure in Arcane.

Just so you know, cuz its a good fact to know about the situation, that woman at the end is LeBlanc, who IS the Black Rose. She is the Black Rose itself, and she mind controls people and makes them into her puppets so she can control more and more of the world. In Arcane s2 ep9, she begins flowing magic into Ambessa's head when Mel summons her. Thats what she was planning to do to Ambessa.

You should give Epic The Musical a try... The whole concept album is finished, and maybe you could do a reaction to the songs either by song or by saga, depending on what fits your video format. It even has interesting ways of using instruments and melody motifs to tell what character is about to come in the song or tell if something fun or gut-wrenching is going to happen.

EXPLANATION: LeBlanc (the woman at the end) created clan named "Black Rose" (mentioned in Arcane season 2) in order to stop a warlord named Mordekaiser (Sahn-Uzal) from destroying whole Runettera (LOL world). Mordekaiser is being held captive under the so called "Immortal bastion", which he has build. (Immortal bastion is HUGE building in the middle of Noxus city). LeBlanc kidnaps and trains children from a young age to be as strong as possible and helps them awaken certain abilities, essentially forming her own army against Mordekaiser. That's why she appeared in Arcane because she wanted Mel to join the Black Rose because of her powers. For example, one of those children is Elise... the spider woman in the trailer. LeBlacn also collects rare items and various artifacts, again against Mordekaiser, and it is speculated that it was Ambessa who stole one such artifact and that is why LeBlanc took revenge on her by killing Kino. Also seen in the trailer is Darius - a guy fighting an ice troll named Trundle - Darius is one of the generals of Noxus. Then Katarina - the assassin with red hair who fought with the spider woman Elise. And finally Vladimir - a man who has the ability to control blood and made a pact with LeBlanc. And you already know Mel :) I hope this makes sense. This is a VERY shortened version of the explanation. Each of the characters has a very deep and significant lore. I recommend a youtuber named Necrit...he's a real pro in LOL lore.
