i started to learn music production from 1 year back and left it because of some other work. now i am continuing music production again but one always comes in my mind from where should i start? chord making ? beat making? how can i practice? what to do??!!

I suggest you to just come up with a melody, dont think about chords, beats, and all that complicated stuff just come up with a melody you think sounds good. Then try to play that melody on an instrument whichever you are comfortable with. By doing so you will get the notes of that melody. Now you can identify the scale of the melody based on the notes of your melody. Every scale have a set of chords. Once you have the scale you can identify the chords you want for your melody for e.g in the scale of C major the notes are C D E F G A B C now you can extract triad chords out of it. How? Here is a simple trick, take every alternate notes for e.g in C major scale if you take alternate notes like C E G you came up with C major chord then take D F A you have your D minor. By doing this you can get the chords available to you in that particular scale. Musicians mostly use the 1st the 4th the 5th and the 6th chord of the scale. however there are no rules music is an art and creative field. Hope this clears some of your confusion.

NAMASTEY dev Sir, first of all PRANAAM. maine sab kuch aapse hi seekha hai is lecture tak . Only thing is jab apne starting me bataya ki agar aap ek scale me tones banayege to besura nahi hoga lekin is video ke end me jo apne chords ke oopar tones banayi hai ( 27.04 Minutes - 27.19 Minutes ke beech me ) unme se kuch scale se bahar hain, aisa kyun sir. Sir, jasie aapko notes and singing ka kaafi experience hai, so it was very fluid on your side to put them as tiles and still make them sound good. (as you said, listening experience badao...) But I have just begun this journey and honestly, sir Mujhe to Notes me itna antar smj b nahi aata (Apart from Major-minor difference, that too a very slightly.) islie kaagi complicated laga. are you saying ki time ke saath hojega, like music sunta to tha hee sir, much additional kar site hain kya? And again, is the singing/musical knowledge required? (I have more idea of drumming and beats but not of music.)

Hi, i have query related to music theory. I don’t have much knowledge about MT, however i know few keys and their relative chords but i want to know that what is the formula of choosing chords for a scale? Suppose i play CMaj key and use chords CMaj, Amin, GMaj and Emin. Then how should i make chords for A# key? Either Maj or min. Like how to know which is going to be next chord and what will be the scale of that chord (Maj/min)
