Gorillaz is the brainchild of vocalist/composer Damon Albarn (frontman of Blur) and artist Jamie Hewitt (Tank Girl comics) and all of their work as Gorillaz is quite varied. They reach out to a large number of collaborators (like the band Little Dragon on this song) to make such a variety. Of course, Damon Albarn composes most of the music but with input from all the collaborators.

Gorillaz don't fall under a genre because they have so many different guest stars who all bring a different feel. I've been a fan for 20 years, love the fact they are an animated band, love the vocals of Damon Albarn.
