Howdy Zooty...Good selection & good review.....just like you, her voice is what got my attention & their video, I think it was brass in pocket, over the years I picked up a few lp's of theirs which I like, but I admit some of her activism kind of turned me off ( if memory serves) she was heavy into PETA, etc .,but such is life & I still liked her stuff. ....One thing I can say, I was a big KINKS fan & Chrissie was hanging out with Ray Davies, the frontman & composer for the KINKS for quite awhile, rumor is they were drunk, going to get married & applied for license got in a fight in the office & push came to shoves & the cop's came & that just about ended that relationship..............lol......The Pretenders had a hit with a Kinks song called " Stop Your Sobbing "...& Chrissie & Ray made a few records.." Postcard From London"".......They do have a daughter, who is all grown up & last I heard she got arrested for chaining herself to the fence to a nuke plant ............Just like Momma....ha ha............I Hope I didnt bore you & have a good day........🙂
