Comment 2/2: You have a very nice assortment of stereo components. 1975 Beatles thermos, nice! You not only have one music room but you have two music rooms. That is dedication to your collectibles. I would have to say you are a devout music lover. Your components are really nice, lots of fantastic assortment of albums, cassettes and DVD's that just shows how much you love being a collector of music. I really enjoyed this Craig. Take care of all of it. Thanks a lot~ Rob/Boston

One more thing that I remembered when I saw your Cars '8-track tape'. In the seventies/high school, 8-Track tapes were in everyone's cars. I used to know exactly which parts in the Purple and Zeppelin 8-tracks that were going to fade out, clip tracks and start playing again. The invention of the cassette tape was clutch back then. Now everyone was making assorted tapes to take on road trips + you could fit a lot more in your glove compartment. Then the CD came along and you know the rest~ Rob

Craig....nice job brother! Dig the setup in both rooms, some nice equipment too. Rockin' the Sony turntable with some Drama! Jealous that you've shelved the cassettes...still working on putting something together myself. Currently stored in boxes save for the few dozen that rotate in and out of the music room. The Ikea 5x5 is a lifesaver, without it and the 4x4 I'd have albums everywhere....sounds good to me! Lol. Congrats on setting up and settling in in style, thanks for sharing! - Lj

Heading to Nantasket Beach. It is a little late and the parking may be tricky but I always get lucky eventually. The only thing better than the beach would be seeing the old Comet Coaster gracing the skyline from the shore. I hope you enjoy your day and also the upcoming weekend. The heat is on again so stay cool yourself. Stay cool like the early Fonz and not the shark jumping Fonz. "When the heat's got you down, here's what you oughta, get yourself in that cool cool water" > Beach Boys Rob

Friggin awesome memory Rob! My brothers have a few years on me and I can remember them swapping tracks on the 8-track deck at just the right time to navigate Rush's Fly By Night and Frampton Comes Alive tapes. Say what you will about digital and it's ease of portability, but I, and I expect you, wouldn't have traded that experience or it's accompanying memory for all the iPads in the world. - Lj/CruisingAt331/3MPH

Thank you Lj. To answer your question, the rides to school in the mornings and also coming home in the afternoon would not have been as cool in the digital era. That whole element of taking your favorite tapes with you for a short ride to school or a road trip to NH is gone. You took pride in what tapes you owned and you knew them well. Like you said, the tracking fade outs on the 8-Tracks became part of the song. You knew when to click Fly By night or Zeppelin IV. Rob/RidingShotgunWithYou

You bought all that vinyl for your shelves in two months? I know, I am just kidding. I have to say right off the bat that you do strive on neatness to which I am very anal retentive about myself. I love detail and positioning because it is all about the decoration and design. I guess you were not kidding when you spoke about your cassette and CD collection. I have too many CD's myself. I can always find the Zeppelin DVD. 8:38. Third row down and about the 10th one across from the left. 1/2
