@Pioneering Eagle Yes, it's flexible, but seeing as it is glass, it would break if it was being twisted and pressurized against multiple thin strands of glass. Theoretically though, it would work if the bends weren't as sharp as the rope machine makes.

Guilhem Feraud could even make a small fiber optic tree using small led bulbs of different colors. Just be sure to wrap the led bulb and the fibers attached to each color so they won’t cross contaminate other fiber optic strands.

turn the fibre optic cables into a kinda projected thing uma. it might not work but here’s the theory: you know those pots that have a light on the bottom were the light is visible on the end of the cable? Make one of those, but make it large enough to cover a whole phone screen and instead of making the cables loosely put in the pot, maybe you could cram the cables in till there are almost no gaps between the ends of the cables. you could also make the walls of the pot as high as the length of the cables it might also be fun trying to make a spherical one but with a glow in the dark bouncy ball in the middle. It’s just a random suggestion and might not work but i thought that it would be cool to check out with all that cable!

Do what we used to do---make a fiber optic tree using florist's tape; they rock! I've been trying to find a kit for YEARS but they seem to have vanished. They start with a crimped bundle of fibers that you place in a lighted stand, then wrap and/or subdivide it to make a tree, which springs out in fiber 'flowers'. Awesome! :)

With that much fiber optic cable, I'd love to see some sort of "invisibility cloak" or something that takes an image from one side and projects it to the other, you can make hundreds if not thousands of short lengths to put together like a picture if they were placed accurately enough. You could cut the fiber optics to lengths long enough to run from outside into your studio, and create a bundle. On the outside get a parabolic mirror and focus the sun into the gathered end of the bundle. Inside the studio spread out the strands from the bundle and see if you are getting enough sunlight through the bundle to replace your electrical lights. Or at least create some small solar powered spotlights.

Have you ever tried this? Using water electrolysis, allow the gases to mix together into the same container, and then light it? Maybe something along the size of small, plastic, water bottle. The resulting explosion could cause the the bottle to shred at supersonic speeds, so, be careful.
