Fred Durst hosts a jazz jam. Am I the only one who is absolutely blown away by the concept of Limp Bizkit's frontman being super into jazz??

Hey Bob. I felt the same way regarding the "power of music" at GroundUP Fest. No judgements, no ego, no negativity, just a mutual love of music. It was a beautiful weekend that still resonates with me today. Glad I made the time to watch your vlog today. Will you be playing with SP @ Red Rocks? Hopefully I'll catch ya there!

My kids are now 8 and 10 and I've gotta tell you, it doesn't get any better. Toys all over, threats to take them away. That all sounds so familiar. Good news though, your local Goodwill store always has room for that stuff!

Into the Mystic - I used to play that weekly with a house band and occasionally a bari player we knew would show up and we were able to make it sound more like the recording. Thanks for sharing your recent memories.

Great episode. I'm a big Bill Paxton fan and was really sad when I heard of his passing. Very cool that you were able to participate in that service. I am also a big fan of the song Into the Mystic. A guitar playing friend and myself play it regularly as a duo. Kind of cool to know Bill liked the song too. Always good to catch up with you Bob! How are your kids with the organizing? My wife and I have been trying to get my 5 year old Henry to do it. Mom has everything in all these bins... all ninja turtles, all cars, all dinosaurs... after about an hour of play things are once more in chaos. LOL. Drives her nuts.

It's took me to play for a 100K crowd in brazilian carnival, to several jam sessions in germany, italy, in morroco and in a cymbal factory in istanbul, Turkey. It somehow feels that music goes along with me whererver I go.

1. Your daughter is sassy AF, that discussion about the toys was hilarious! Hahah! 2. Jacob is killer! He's touring with Mike Posner now, right?

That's really cool. I first heard of Into the Mystic when my band had to learn it for a first dance at a wedding gig

I enjoy the blog series. I'm a local Jacksonville/Amelia Island Saxophone player. Friends with Juan. I learn a lot from the vlogs. I don't tour anyone just the wedding/corporate party circuit. Thanks for doing these. Best of luck.

I love your musicianship and have a lot of respect for you as a person. But if I'm honest, you need to throw those toys away. All of them.
