My dude! This fantastic to watch! I'm a music teacher as well, so watching this was a treat 😎 We recorded this at Hybrid Studios in Nazareth, PA. Great place to record! Saw you talked to Ben about having him / us on the podcast. We'll hit you up! ~ Phil (singer/bassist)

Phil thats one thing that hooked me when I first heard this. Shadows of "2 minutes to Midnight" for sure IMO. How Bruce starts in the lower register singing about waiting in his cold cell and later pounds into the belts later is where I make the comparison bud.You guys are great! I love STT. I was introduced to them when we all got "rained out" of a music festival and they set up with a drum box and an acoustic guitar and they played their own stuff and covers of the bands we were waiting to see. They sold their CDs for whatever we felt like paying and man they are just the nicest guys. Definitely recommend "Dragonfly" by them
@Melly014 жыл бұрын
STT is my favorite band! I came for Grinch 2 years ago and stayed for everything else. I agree with those saying you should listen to Dragonfly, which is a song Phil, the lead singer, wrote for his mom during the week or so before her passing. It's emotional and breathtaking in its elegance and honesty. Their original music is ah-mazing! I don't know what you like, but if you like rock, try The Man, Rufflin' Feathers or The Ride. Devil's Choir is musically complex with a gorgeous fugue in the middle. Sex & Candy is a cover of Marcy Playground's song, but it is as different as this one is to the original, stanky, bluesy, raw, raunchy in the best possible way. Lol. Behind the Moon starts with acapella harmony reminiscent of Seven Bridges Road and then veers off into another direction. Want surprise? Check them out, they never do what you expect.

Takes lessons from 2 local guys. Any words of wisdom to keep his going with it? He is in 9th grade. He has played out publicly for a few songs this summer with his guitar teacher so not afraid to play in front of people. Also love your comments on this song! I loved it! I will see if I can get my son to watch your channel.

@Charleigh Buell, I played Dragonfly and sang along with it for my dad in the final hours of his battle with Alzheimer's. Then we played it at his funeral and Phil's voice soaring out of the speakers at the church is something I'll never forget. And I got a dragonfly tattoo in my dad's honor with this song in mind. It is hands down one of the most impactful songs I've ever heard, especially when you apply it to the loss of a parent, or any loved one. I bawled in the middle of a dive bar in TN last year and put my arm around a stranger while she cried for her husband, telling me they played it at his funeral. 😭
