It is such a beautiful performance. Great reaction and analysis. The layers of vocals were added in post, the bootleg uploaded by PetriAZ doesn't seem to include the layers. They mostly use backing tracks for songs that need a second guitar player, since they used to have two guitars and the second guitarist got a chance to do acting and took it. Who Is Gonna Be The One was originally done with two guitars but they re-composed it to work with just one guitar, slowing it down a bit which makes it even better than the original. If you haven't seen and heard the live performance of that song, it is well worth checking out. Captain Clock at Resurrection Fest is also a fun performance.

Wow 😮. Didn’t know they had a second guitarist at one point. Maybe that means there’s a 0.1^-100000000000000% sliver of hope for me after all 😂 😆. I’m no maestro, but I take influences from Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan that I think could fit nicely into their style provided Tatiana doesn’t mind sharing a bit lol.

Only back track was the intro. She uses vocal doubling with pitch shift during those segments; first a fifth (I think) then an octave up. Midi triggered and tied to the click track. Could also be controlled manually from laptop, but not likely. Simple midi automation. I use similar in my studio with Ableton on my PodXT Pro processors. I just play to the click and it handles all the changes. With tracks you could hear an under-run or overlap, and these cut in and out the millisecond she does. YES! JINJER - Teacher, Teacher! @@MarleneMendozaMusic Hi Marlene! Guitar and keys since I was 15 (now 57). I used to sing choral, but the military ruined my voice. I'm hyperactive with Lupus so have a hard time with coordination and motor control, so I work in "phrases". As I got older (and worse), I had to learn and rely on some automation to help build tracks. I've done some work for documentaries on DVD but incapable of most live play so stick to my studio. Terribly frustrating but it'll have to be sufficient. "Better still to watch it die, than never to have known it" - Losing It - Rush

@@TexasVeteranPatriot - All the backing tracks they use are launched from Vlad's laptop. He basically starts playing them at the beginning of the songs and he's in charge of keeping the tempo so that when they appear they're in the correct places. I've seen him doing that in many live videos. That's not the case with the vocal harmonies here, though. They were added in post. There's a bootleg video of their whole concert and the harmonies in the calmer part of this song were not present there.
@TexasVeteranPatriot

@@TexasVeteranPatriot - I wouldn't go as far as to say that this isn't really live. You know, it's understandably not in the interest of Napalm Records to put out live videos of their bands with "bad" sound, that's why there's always some tweaking, but if you want to hear the real, raw live sound, check out PetziAZ's channel, if you haven't yet. Anyway, I think Jinjer liked the added vocal harmonies so much that they started to use them themselves. I've watched a couple of recent bootleg videos and if my ears didn't fail me, the harmonies were there. : )

"I wish we had these types of concerts in the US, we don't have much of this." Really? It's a huge thing in the EU but I didn't expect that to be unusual at all. Every summer we're bombarded with way too many of these concerts and festivals the entire summer long, so much it's possible to go to one almost every day if you'd want to. Sadly most of them overlap but there are a lot. That's really interesting. If you happen to have the money for it, I'd highly recommend to do a festival summer in the EU once. Be aware it's costly though.

It is true. Wacken, hellfest, bloodfest, download festival are all too much for a north american location. I have been to many festivals in the US and Canada and they are all dwarfed by European shows...especially Wacken which I have been to.
