Holy Crap. I've been playing for years, with many teachers and you just explained it, and many of the tangents, in one super easy to understand lesson. I love how your lessons just flow from point to point, and then you come full circle. Well done. I am excited to see others. Thank you.

I have been using Jonathan's KZbin videos in tandem with a membership to his website Song-Bike.com. With these lessons I am more than happy with my progress on the guitar. The first chord song is Cocaine by Eric Clapton, but I suspect other songs use this same riff.

Song Bike - jkehew1 Aloha Jonathon. Just came back to check theory from the start again. Very good to revisit and assimilate. Been close to 4 months of everyday play and coming along nicely. Love Song-Bike. I'll be bugging you soon to finish Hide Your Love Away and House of The Rising Sun in the strumming section.

I'm trying to understand why no other sharps where not included when writing out the major scale of a particular note to figure out the 1-3-5 and I'm also confused with the chord formation I thought called the I-IV-V ?
@GTony119 жыл бұрын
why in the G and D, sequence F# follow an E... and with the C an F follows the E ?

why the F sharp in G and D, but not C?
@jkehew14 жыл бұрын
Hi Edward, if you're asking why the key of C doesn't have an F#, it's because of the system of half and whole steps that creates the C major scale. By the way, I've written several e-books you might be interested in: The Guitar: Week One www.fatfreecartpro.com/i/z117?card The Guitar: Month One www.fatfreecartpro.com/i/z6ys?card promo video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGG6gYp7jrpqb7s The DCG Trick: What Famous Bands Did With Easy Chords www.fatfreecartpro.com/i/yuut?card promo video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnnRcodjl8yhoLM Stay healthy and musical! i am confused also .why sharps not in c d e f g a b c
@ytlongbeach9 жыл бұрын
there are half steps between bc and ef, whole steps between the rest. the major scale pattern is: wwhwwwh. c major scale follows the pattern, c d e f g a b c: cd = w, de = w, ef = h, fg = w, ga = w, ab = w, bc = h. g major scale follows the pattern, g a b c d e f# g: ga = w, ab = w, bc = h, cd = w, de = w, ef# = w, f#g = h the rest of the major scales (a, b, d, e, f) can be built the same way. try it.
