Hey YCImaging! I have a question. So I am horrible at drawing, is there a way to layer a clip that I wanted to trace to put on top of the clip that I am actually drawing on. Like for example I was trying to draw a set of wings on the artist but they didn't look good at all so I was trying to bring in a clip of wings to trace to make them look good to put on the layer I was already drawing on. If you could help out with this, that would be AMAZING!

so this worked perfectly, however i made a mistake and deleted my original video (that i imported to draw on) from my computer. :( After affects saved all my doodles which took me 2.5 hours and their timing but the video is now gone. I went back to final cut and re-mastered the video which i now have on my desktop again. How to i re-add this video back so my so my doodles show on the re-masted video??? hope i explained this well. thank you!!

That didn't work :/ When I use it as is with a single frame it's creating a stroke that lasts for 3 frames instead of one.

To anyone stuck with this problem, make sure you transcode your footage! I was trying to do this with .mp4's and had no luck. I transcoded to DNxHD in media endcoder and it worked.

I typically color grade myself, luts tend to reduce your video quality in most cases.

So i edited the video in final cut then exported it into after effects to do the paint and i needed to fix a scene in the music video so i tried to do what you did but in reverse, so i exported the AE composition as a premier project then when i opened it up in premier it told me that i dont have the paint plug in and i need to download it from a 3rd party, can anyone help with this? like know the name of the exact plug in or how to fix it thanks
