I'm sure you're familiar with Rick Beato's channel, and his former intern Rhett Shull. If not Rick's interviews and "What makes this song great" series are must see's. Rhett is a guitar aficionado and covers everything studio / guitar / band centric. Keep up the good work, maybe a piece on keeping your legacy Cakewalk BBL going as the new products roll out (or more contingency plans CWBBL users to ease the withdrawal). Michael at InTheMix was the main reason I went for FL. His teaching style (like you say, understated, but concise and trustworthy) made it a no-brainer to follow his various FL for beginners videos. Big fan of Cameron at VenusTheory also, like you say, it's clear just how much effort and production value goes into his videos and yet they still come across as genuine. Consistently knocks it out of the park IMO. There's a few there that I haven't seen before, so will check those out!

@pelennorDSP3 ай бұрын
A couple of things about Cameron from hanging out on his Discord. Firstly, he does indeed have huge amounts of effort and production value in his videos these days. A typical filmed at/around home video takes around 5 solid days of work by his estimation. When he's been juggling a paid day job of 8 hours plus every day (on something confidential for now probably a major video game soundtrack) and a family, it's no wonder he doesn't post very often. Then when he does videos where he travels somewhere and requires accomodation, that obviously adds a lot of time and cost to the point where it may not even come out in the black in AdSense terms. Secondly, I think he (and Benn Jordan) are the two most ethical youtubers I know, especially when it comes to how they operate with brands and maintain their independence. Not only has he cut ties with brands that he (rightly) felt were engaging in unethical behaviours, he's shelling out of pocket to start a free instrument collection of his own similar to what Spitfire Labs was before Christian Henson tarnished both Spitfire and Crow Hill with unrepentant transphobia. If he had the means/backing, he would have taken over pianobook before CH took it back. He literally puts his money where his mouth is, which is unfortunately rare amonst the bigger creators in our space.
